And I think a B grader FB, as outlined above, allows us a bit of a defensive 'shuffle' and makes us stronger. No they aren't.
What they are is in keeping with our strategy of bringing in a B grade role player(s) that we do most trade periods.
The very model of consistency.
I wouldn't rule him out developing into a Harris Andrews type. His Dad was a pretty feisty one-on-one and was built accordingly. Who knows how he'll fill out?We can prepare. My point still stands that we need someone for this premiership window. He isn't turning into a player who will shut down the leagues gorilla forwards for at least two years. And he is likely another interceptor than a lock down type. I don't see him being big bodied, lock down type that we need. And we need one whilst the current window is open, Croft won't be the answer in time.
I would just keep Buku and tell Carlton they can keep the future 3rd Rounder

Oops! Yes, yes hugely glad we don't anymore! We did, before divesting at the end of 2019. We were one of the earlier Victorian clubs to do it alongside North (2008) and Collingwood (2018). A number of clubs including Richmond, Carlton, Essendon and St Kilda still have them.
YesDidn't C4 post that this was a done deal?
Wouldnt be surprised if it’s, Butts doesn’t want to come now because he was second choice. Alternatively it could be that JSOS would’ve come for an extra $50,000, we refused and he went to the Saints. Why be so cryptic?
1. We won't be signing a defender?
2. We will sign someone, who will divide the fans or make us be like wtf?
3. Something else unrelated to our defender chase?
What’s going on here mate

Ok. But We're going in circles now.And I think a B grader FB, as outlined above, allows us a bit of a defensive 'shuffle' and makes us stronger.
I'm pretty happy with Budarick, it's one of two key areas we needed to address and we got a good one.

Buckley to the Cats as an assistant.

Easy to bring in people like Buckley when your "soft cap" is propped up by sponsors like Morris Finance.Buckley to the Cats as an assistant.

Sydney have asked for 22 back in the Curnow Trade, so it's possible that we had agreed to some trade involving that pick but now they are reconsidering or trying to tie our trade into the Curnow trade in some wayDidn't C4 post that this was a done deal?

I'm sure when Geelong audits themselves it will be given the all clearEasy to bring in people like Buckley when your "soft cap" is propped up by sponsors like Morris Finance.

A dickhead at pick 106 is still a dickheadMay for pick 106 would be fine.
Come on crazy Bevo, sprinkle your magic dust on this fella and make him the gorilla KPD we’ve all been wantingWe can prepare. My point still stands that we need someone for this premiership window. I think the frustration is that clearly Wilkie was Plan A, it was a Hail Mary, so Butts was a kind of Plan B, another Hail Mary. So why weren't we working around the clock trying to nail Plan C and D knowing A and B would likely fail?
That's the issue here. We needed a back up, a sure thing, and seems like we didn't have one.
99.99% of posters who claim they have inside mail or recruiter mates are full of shit. Stop getting worked up over nothing all time.
Pick up role players with 2nd rounders and keep their first?
Isn't that what we are trying to do?
