Trade & Draft Picks Selection Thread....

Every year there is a trade done that no one on BF has even mentioned, last year Hadley, year before Saddington, it will happen again this year and we will all say oh yeah what a good pick up, even if 12 months later were saying lets get rid of them. Who will it be this year, name someone out of left field?

... but... if I name someone, then it will have been mentioned on BF, and then it can't be the trade that gets done that no one on BF has mentioned... you can see the bind I'm in.

Interesting responses to the NickNat question... I wondered that too. He seems like the one that *could* free-fall from #1 consideration down much lower. But does he fix any of our glaring needs? Not really. We already have two ruck prospects we're praying come through to their full potential. Be much more interested in a blue-chipper in a slot where we need one.

To me it's a none issue as he won't drop past pick 4 so not much point arguing the issue. All i'll say is he would be best available if he feel to pick 6, that's why i'd take him and dare i say, so would Wayne Hughes from his thoughts on him.

I sort of agree with you on this. Everyone saying he is a gun athlete first and a footballer second. Few reports around too that he has unbelievable vision etc, but he does not have the ability to read the play like Krooz. If he is available at #6 I wouldn't mind him, but if there is a FB or CHB who is the best at that position then I would'nt pick up Nick.

Reading the Dockers board, they are asking for everything plus the kitchen sink for a still relatively untried ruckman who apparently was nearly dropped to the WAFL reserves earlier in the year.

Pick 24 + Browne/Armfield for Warnock

Pick 6 + 24 for Warnock and Mundy

Exactly, he's not the be all or end all. He'd be added to a position that, even without Warnock, has plenty of talent. If we don't get him, we keep our picks and players, pick White up in the PSD and play him (or have him as a back-up) for a year or two so Hampson and Kruezer can continue to develop without getting killed.
