Last year Geelong played the “if you don’t give us what we want we will hold him to his contract” card, and that’s fine, that’s what contracts are for.

This year Kelly has no contract soChris Scott can’t sit him in a dark room and make him sign a contract and they can’t trade him to a club that he doesn’t want to play for. Geelong have 0 power in this situation.
