The dynamic and powerful Kako continues to impress in 2024. Once he got a couple of early fumbles out of his system his clean marking was a feature in this game, as well as his quick and decisive decision making. He kicked three goals and it could have been more if he'd nailed a couple of relatively straight forward chances late.

Smillie has to be the first pick for us if we can get him. Talls we can get later in the draft as it sounds like we are working our way up the order with swaps and there aren’t many of them predicted to go top 20.
He is exactly what we need and what we are missing the dynamic big midfielder. From the games he’s played he’s not missing a lot; cracks in gets his own ball, good hands and kick, good step and agility, strong with a few fend offs, goes forward kicks goals and to top it off works back defensively and puts on pressure.

He’s red hot fav atm to go no 1, but there’s still a lot of water to go under the bridge
U18 national championships
Draft combine
I am not big follower of u18 football but already I’ve read on this thread 2 players returning from injury- Lalor and Allan that look like excellent prospects and with some extra games under their belt , nationals, and the combine could project even higher.

Top WA draft prospect Bo Allan stepped back from playing senior WAFL into the Colts team this week and was given a chance to show what he can do. His power was simply too much to handle, and his direct attacking approach regularly set up his teammates for scoring opportunities.

Jeez when the footy is in dispute he cracks in hard! Good mark...ok kick! Like very much!

Its rare to see such a large discrepancy between and individual and team performance. In a game in which his Chargers team were belted by nearly 100 points, Jagga was unstoppable for most of the day, slicing through stoppages like a surgeon with a scalpel and setting up his team with opportunities they failed to capitalize on. The one criticism you could make is that he contributed to the lack of defensive pressure around the footy by Oakleigh, only laying one tackle for the game.
