Dees talking about a contract with David and the Hawks have met with him also, with Haley in the top 3 they are looking at. The other two are a defender and Josh Hill.

Well this is what we are all hoping for. I will wish Hale well no matter what but it will be so much sweeter if we get a good price for him.

We are not getting an 8-14 pick for Hale in a straight swap.

Have heard Melbourne have offerd North there second round pick and an exchange between the two clubs first round picks! So effectivly putting north melbourne 4 picks up the order in the first round!

Would be more than happy with that as a North supporter!

This is why we need Hales to say he isn't fussed which one of the 2 he goes to. This will give us a chance to play one off against the other. If he says I chose Hawthorn well then we can only really try and get what is fair and I'd think Scott would be pretty respectful of someones wishes. If he chooses Melbourne well the deal offered is pretty sweet already.
I'd like Hawthorns 1st and 2nd rounder for Hale, or , 2nd rounder and Clinton Young.
Whether its a pick or player we need some good outside ball users.

Really Hawthorn are up against it - i cant see a way they can secure Hale without giving up their first pick and even that isnt better then an upgrade to pick 12.

Considering any second round pick may be pushed back due to compensation picks being taken, if we can get the Hawks first round pick, their compo pick and they get Hale and our second rounder, I'd freaking jump at it.

I would hope he doesn't come, good ball user but doesn't get enough of it and is injury prone. Wouldn't be in our best 22 IMO.
