Pelchen: We've spoken to @KristianJaksch and @jono_orourke from @GWS_Giants. We're certainly interested in getting those boys to the club

Just saw this on the AFL site to. Seems we may have to try and outbid Saints if we're keen on Jaksch.

they can give them a tour of seaford and chelsea woolworths

If they've put out 400K and 4-5 years for Jaksch and that tips him over then fine.

Can't say I particularly care too much as I still see our #6/7 being pretty powerful.

Dogs tried to buy Doc last year too - nothing to worry about yet.

So if Jaksch goes to the saints are there any other significant deals in the pipeline?

Feels pretty much like Jaksch or bust.......

Bust doesn't mean Jones or any of the other bit players mentioned are crap, just means there doesn't seem to be key talent headed this way.

The only reason he d chose the Saints over us is for extra $$$.
No other reason makes sense.

I agree but let's see what happens.

Don't care for us to get into a bidding war with The Saints who are desperate to be seen to be relative (Sorry Saints supporters)

Pelchan sounds a little too big balls and I guess he can when his team finishes last.

Don't want to get into a bidding war over Jaksch. If he can't decide between us or the Saints, I'd let him go there.

I only want to be getting players in that want to be at the club.

They also happened to be the best teams when FA came in. And FA looks set to give them a big helping hand in staying that way.

Being a top team at the time FA was introduced is a very, very fortunate position to be in.

They were the bench mark even before FA came in.. Even the traditional trade periods, players were requesting to go to them for a reason.

Who knew about Frankiln, McEvoy, Everitt, Mumford etc etc this time last year?

Plenty to play out just yet.

Agree Harks. Can't understand the doom & gloom mentality when 1. Jaksch hasn't nominated anyone yet & 2. Trade period hasn't even started yet.

Think because posters here have been reading it was a done deal for weeks. Some doubt has obviously thrown some ppl

I'd love Jaksch for 2 years on 250K and for #27
I'd like Jaksch for 3 years on 300K and for a pick #15 after we'v sold off our first.
I wouldn't want Jaksch for 4-5 years on 400K and giving up our first with some trims thrown back our way. It's all relative, isn't it?

I would though be very happy to hang onto pick #6/7 and sell off some stock for another couple of 2nd and 3rd rounders and let Rogers and co a free run into the draft. No problem.

More so the thinking that it's Jaksch or bust. Just because something isn't broadcasted on trade radio or in the HS, doesn't mean our only target is Jaksch.

No doom and gloom here, if he comes to us great , if he doesn't, too bad.

I did read that his manager said he won't be nominating a preference, he will go to whoever offers GWS the better deal.

His manager didn't say that though. He said he'll nominate a club when he comes home from Bali. Right SBYM ? :P ;)

Good luck to Jaksch and the saints, but the talk on here over the past month about a player who has played less than a dozen games, and none that were impressive and hasn't even made a big impact at NEAFL level was quite bemusing. O'Rourke at least had dominated games at NEAFL level.

Also why do none if the Gold Coast fringe players ever get mentioned as trade options, they have the same list challenges at keeping hold of there players that GWS have, they have just sacked there coach so could be the perfect opportunity to bring a talented player back home.

St Kilda further ahead with rebuild? :D

Losing Cripps, Goddard, Nicky Dal and Big Boy to bring in Lee, Hickey, Savage, Longer, Delaney, Bruce while drafting Billings, Dunstan, Acres.
