GWS won't give up their gun mids just to get in a 28 year old gun mid. It's counter productive.

Give us Buntine instead of Whiley. He only played 7 games in 2014.

#7 for #19, Jaksch and Buntine.

Buntine would be awesome but he is contracted and would probably demand pick 7 on his own.

I'd be stoked if we get Jaksch and Buntine with pick 7 alone though.

Not a chance the dogs will accept picks... This could really fck our chance of getting Boyd because I reckon Boyd for Griffen could get it done, then GWS take McCartin with pick 4..

I think they'd be mad not to.

Big talk on twitter from them that they're going to make Griffen fulfill his contract. They'll get 4 + 7 for him if they trade him now, what are they going to get for an uncontracted 29 year old next year?

Barrett say GWS want to offer our pick 7 and their pick 4

Surely this means they will be desperate four our seven adn we could maybe walk away with

Jaksch, #19, #21 and Wiley for #7?
3 for 1's rarely get done. I doubt a 4 for 1 has ever occurred.

How highly do they rate Coniglio?

Surely one of Kelly, Coniglio, Shiel, Treloar, Whitfield, Greene, Smith, Hoskin-Elliot will be missing games with Ward, Griffen and Scully around?

Barret on trade radio

Carlton - get jaksch and 19 and give up 7

GWS - get 7

Then

GWS - give up 4 and 7 for Ryan Griffen.

Wallace says - That's shit for Carlton

Can someone ask GWS whether they want my spare kidney also?

So #21 or a better second player than Whiley.

Jaksch, 2nd player, #19, #21

Screw them to the wall now. If we have to give up #7, and they have to get it to get Griffen, we both have motivation.
here here...

Reckon if Dogs request the Giants first pick then they'll have TWO picks before our first.
Considering their blindingly obvious lack of key position players surely there's a fair chance that any talls we'd hope would have fallen to us will well and truly be gone. Maybe pick 7 therefore holds less value to us?

Buntine was the first who came to mind.

Wouldn't mind that Hampton either, always thought he was okay. Bugg too.

I'd consider throwing in #28 for the pedigree although his NEAFL form isn't as good as Whiley. Essentially Jaksch and Buntine and downgrade #28 to #19.

A first round KPP and a former #5 midfielder. Takes care of our needs.

Christ, what I would give to be Rogers/McKay right now. As soon as that Griffen news came through I would've been taking bets on how long until 'GWS calling' came up on the phone.

Joel Patfull from Brisbane to GWS for pick 21

Kristian Jaksch and Mark Whiley & pick 19 to Carlton in exchange for pick 7

Ryan Griffen to GWS in exchange for pick 4 & 7

Barrett might be on to something

You honestly think Carlton will be cut throat enough to totally change the angle of what theyve been negotiating on for the past 4 days.

They cant just turn around now and ask for a gun player/pick to be added to whats been discussed now that they smell blood from GWS.

With SOS at the other side of the negotiating table.
