can someone explain it to me...

be gentle.

Wallace repeated himself ad nauseum last week, saying that Carlton should keep pick #7.........................until he spoke to McKay.

He's still softly sitting on the side on pick #7 but somewhat reluctantly admitting to understand the CFC's objectives.

He knows next to nothing of Jaksch, Whiley or who we may be targeting at #19 but that didn't stop him clinging to the higher number.

No I understand. Was being a smartarse.

I have also posted that Wallace loves to praise and condemn the same move, often on the same day in different forums and always in terms that allows him to claim he was right later on.

Prevaricate and splinter are his middle names. Afterall he has this "list mangler" thing going on that allows him to get paid by idiotic media outlets.

Waste of oxygen.

Honestly would rather have etsal1 on radio/tv

Should the Lions get Beams they'll have one hell of a midfield...

Beams, Rockliff, Rich, Zorko, Redden, Hanley, Aish, Taylor, Christiensen, C Beams...

I like Robertson and Cutler too.

Harwood, Merrett, Clarke
Hanley, Gardiner, Adcock
Beams, Beams, Rich
Zorko, Close, Christiensen
Martin, Staker, Green
Luenberge, Rockliff, Aish
Redden, Taylor, Paparone, Crisp/Golby/Lester/Robertson/Cutler etc etc

Light on KPFs but Gardiner and McStay should be good in a couple of years.

Not the bad news bears anymore and a really clear example of how things turn around quickly if you are prepared to draft and recruit well.

Should've heard Robbo and his cronies on sen at midday. Somehow turned dogs going for Boyd into a pot Carlton session about having no direction because he has NEVER seen Jaksch play.

They've done really well with their drafting in the last few years IMO...maybe I'm inflating their performances because the Lions HAD TO play them with their list situation and that they beat us but I really like most of their kids....I was all about McStay last year, Robertson als olooked great when I saw him.

As if we haven't look at Boyd........and Cameron?
For all we know Gordon himself may have leaked to the media that Boyd wants to come to The Dogs.
If they do get him then all good but fair to say we'd know why.

Re Robbo...............................................oh, what's the point? :)

I switch off whenever he is about to go to air, the man is just a buffoon, nothing to be gained from listening to him.

4:50pm after a busy day at work, quick peek at AFL Trades site to see if we've got any deals done,....FFS!
How much fiddling, farting and tweaking does it take CFC! Everyone else will have well and truly picked at the bones of GWS for players if we aren't careful!!!
...Not a trade junkie much ;-p

Yeah, switched over when he said Carlton have no forward plan as we got Daisy last year to chase a flag, now we are in rebuild stage, at least the Saints and Doggies fans know when they stand.-his words

And he is what at the HUN, and why does he always sound like he is talking while on the can as if he is straining to get his words out?

Where's the outrage for the Dogs president trying to poach Boyd like when Loguidice tried to poach Graham Wright?

To be fair Gordon is copping a fair whack from the media for involving himself in the negotiations.

Has Tom Boyd actually confirmed that he wants to go to the Dogs?

There's been no official confirmation from him or his manager is all i am hearing.

Although you'd think they'd have come out and denied it by now if Boyd in fact didnt want to go to WB...

And could the WB really be that stupid as to publicly announce Boyd wants to join them, everyone from the president down, only for it not to be true? Surely not.

You would think not but after the way they have handled themselves over the past couple of weeks nothing would surprise.

If Boyd wants to go to a club with no coach, no captain and no structure, it must be purely based on long term security and cashola. If he is a true Carlton supporter and we can justify the same or near the same, why don't we? Potentially 10+ year player. Why can't we offer a Buddyesque package to him? With salary cap increases, if we manage it correctly, get him to hang around GWS 1 more year and then throw the kitchen sink at him.
One way to find out if he's True Blue or not.
Go Blues!!
