Got myself out of bed early to have a look at the first skills session. Not much to say about the actual work they did as it was pretty much just a warm up run where they did some basic lane work and star drills at 3/4 pace.
Pretty sure everyone was there except Welsh who i did not see (he could have been there and i missed him).
No one looks to have come back in poor condition.
The mod group was Lucas , Davey , Watson , Prismall , McPhee , Laycock , Neagle , Jetta , Reimers and Magin.
Winderlich was there but did not do any training as you would expect.
The mod group did various stretching and ball handling drills.
Of the main group Dempsey and Houli both looked fine. No carry over injury problems for them at this stage . The same with Gumby. He is starting to fill out a little. Looks marginally bigger but still has some way to go.
The best two condition wise to my eye where Lloyd and Belchambers. Both looked muscled up but not too bulky. Had that very strong, lean fit look about them. Lloydy in paticular looks like he has been doing less in the weight room and more cardio stuff.
Ryder looks a little bigger in the upper body but he still has the skinny legs happening.
Spike looks as fit as he usually does.
Lonergan looked in good shape and Myer and Pears look to have progressed a bit on last year.
Hille looks to be over his hand injury.
Not much of work out for them today but the good news is all look to be back in good condition and the mod group is filled mainly with players who had off season operations.

Thanks Ant.

Gumby looks a lot more bulky in the pictures on the site, which is excellent to see. Also standing at 199cm tall......gees.

Is that a new tattoo for Dempsey :P

Pears looks huge for a kid that's 18 years old. Seems promising.

Glad to see Prismall and Alwyn out there. Great news with Alwyn as well :D

Thanks ant, good writing. how is Tayte holding up? hope he is still fast enough for AFL footy
