Managed to catch about half of Bomber training this morning inbetween my weights and cardio sessions down at the Windy Hill Gym this morning. I couldn't help but think that David Calthorpe should join in the cardio workout, but hey at least he is enjoying his retirement.
Most of the players on the track looked good, no major concerns.
Jason Laycock was confined to running a countless number of laps. At least he seems to be able to jog laps very well at this point in time.
Jason Johnson was quickly off to the pool.
Hird and Henneman went off the track at about the time i arrived so not sure how long they were out there.
Dean Rioli trained, looked slightly gingerly, right knee was bandaged, but got though it OK.
Watched a bit of contested marking, mainly kept my on on Ryder Vs Cartledge, they came out about even at the end of the day.
Hille Vs Fletch was interesting, most balls being spilled to the ground players.
Campo, Dyson and Watson looked quite polished for the bit I saw of them.
Goal training wasn't too bad. Courtney Johns after a few kicks started to find his target, a good long kick, including one that ended on top of the offices behind the goals. My only concern was that Jay Neagle was spraying a lot of shots for someone whose played Full Forward most of their life, but then again it is only training. They finished off practicing their torps, a few hit their range but was hard to tell what distance they were covering since Windy Hill dosn't have any 50metre lines.
Overall a solid workout by most on the track.
