Zouma has and will get games. Izzy Brown is 20.

In the Abramovich era ,Chelsea have tried to sign up elite youth talent for their youth system.
I cant recall a single guy ever making it through. Seems like Michael Emenalo is content to have a massive group of players on permanent loans.
He is the one giving the contracts by the looks of it.

If you try really hard I'm sure you can think of a few.

brown won't make it at chelsea. just not good enough. zouma and abraham at least should. you could argue zouma has, just hasnt gotten enough game time since his injury. loan him out for the season, bring christensen in for the season, then bring him back and phase out cahill.

brown signing a long term deal is kind of bemusing, really think he has shown his ceiling. but i guess many said that about harry kane.

The players will take the contract because
1) a player can have their career ended at any minute and they have the secure contract.
2) would they get good money at another team? possibly ,but it would be a career gamble

the real question is why Chelsea are giving long term deals to players who are never gonna get a game..
6 years for Kurt Zouma? 4 for Izzy Brown?
laughable

Not sure if this is a hello or goodbye, or neither. Supposed to have been close to either Arsenal or Dortmund in the last couple of days but who knows.

Not sure whats happening with Kelechi. Seems Leicester is the only one in the hunt. But doesnt seem to be a rush. Deals for Nasri, Nangala, Delph and Fernando important too over the next few weeks.

Maybe loan moves for Tosin and Roberts (wouldnt be totally shocked with a permanent deal), and then work out who is going to Girona.

I'm never putting another link in here again.

Until we win the league and prove it can be done this way it can't be said it works.

Why would the next city or Chelsea take the risk when they get money and do it this way when it hasn't be proven to win titles yet?

For us fans of course we feel it's the right way and are probably the only ones who has seen both sides of the ledger to comment. We've spent money and had mercenaries before and now we've got mainly young players with a pathway for our academy. We all support the badge and want the team to win but every spurs fan now wants this team to win more than those past ones because we 1) want the project to work & 2) want these players to have the success at our club.

Back in the day I didn't give a shit how happy Adebayor or Paulinho would be getting a win under the belt. Probably because they couldn't give a shit about the fans and wanted to win for their bonuses etc.

Make it 150 mil and they have a deal

Barcelona will end up buying Coutinho for £149.5M, which will start a 3 year argument about how much he cost. £149.5M or £150M.

Us making the champions league isn't regular though is it?

We've made it 3 times and this is the first time we've made it in back to back seasons
Which is my point lol.

Sounding like Lichsteiner is off to Nice and we are looking to offer €17m and Mario Lemina to Valencia for Joao Cancelo

Isn't Hawkman saying our rise isn't consistent and meteoric because it's been a slow inconsistent process?
No he's saying metronomic means gradual and consistent.

If you want success in trophies then Monaco, Dortmund, Atletico, Ajax, Lyon and even Barcelona under Pep are good examples that the Spurs way is the right way.

Gab Marcotti, one of the most reliable journos around, says that Neymar's release clause is close to being met by PSG.

Would be huge if this move eventuates.

I wish they would hurry up on this one. It does seem like it's us or no one at this stage but I'd be far happier if it just happened.

Heard part of the hold up was due to image rights issues with his agent?
