If work related perhaps...
Footballers getting injured is work related. I'm sure if they can't work due to other reasons they'd get a lot less.

If any person worked in a contracted role they'd get the same rights.

Is he actually any good? Seen next to nothing of him.

He picked up a player of the month for the Toons. Been pretty good and they want him again next season.

Should have been used more for us but Conte thinks hes only a LWB. Hes not.

2 goals and 2 assists from 9 games - not too bad given he was lacking match fitness & sharpness when he came onboard and hasn't been able to run out full games until recently. Scored twice in a crucial 6 pointer vs Soton and had the assists for the winner vs Huddersfield and equaliser against Burnley so his contributions have been pretty significant for our 2018 form and march towards safety.

Also, in a largely blue collar side, he brings some much needed flair and likes to dribble and take defenders on. We're not a very high scoring side so having creative players such as him has definitely help make us more dangerous on the counter.

They wouldn't get their wage for 3 years paid out. Sick leave entitlements are 10 days per year plus work cover compo.

Going to have to be a pretty serious injury for to claim on that.

Footballers guarantee themselves high wages for long periods as long as they meet their contractual obligations - us here mortals don't get that. Bit rich to say that it is unfair when a club wishes to hold them to their contractual obligations when it is 100% certain the same player would expect payment of wages if they were out injured for 2 years with a serious injury.

If true, probably no coming back from that. One or the other will have to leave.

So a choice for the club to make. Get rid of one of the brightest young stars in world football or the manager who oversaw a complete collapse against fecking Roma.

What are you on about lol.

Trying to recall his name, but the Spanish national team coach in the early 2000s referred to Thierry Henry as a “black s**t”.

There was little to no consequence for him at the time.

Edit: Luis Aragones.

How him and Horn are still at Koln is puzzling. Should be at UCL teams by now.
Not sure why but I notice a lot of big moves in the Bundesliga are via very low release clauses or on frees.

German clubs love a bargain but at the same time the lower ranked clubs keep letting the best talents walk for next to nothing.
