They changed that ruling again this year. If a player chooses to bump then they're responsible for any result again. A legal bump that results in a player getting concussed is all on the bumper.

Unless its Sydney Stack and the media get in first ejeculating in their pants over how great it is.

Hmmm, understand what you are saying but disagree with their approach.

It is the whole issue of judging the outcome rather than the incident. Firm believer in the incident decides guilt, the outcome can be taken into account on the penalty

Why does our club seem to just accept these bans all the time? Reminds me of the ridiculous Kane Cornes suspension some years ago when he shoved Sam Mitchell over at a stoppage and the club failed to get the suspension over turned. Are we worried it'll happen again? Is there a bias against us? We just cop these on the chin. Howard should be playing this weekend.

It's expensive to challenge. And without knowing the stats, I'd suggest our record at the tribunal would be close to league worst.

Missing players can cost us wins though, arguably a worse financial situation in the long run. This very thread has dug up several similar off the ball hits this year which were deemed fines, most of which also did not need to be challenged.

Yeah. We could've rolled the dice on Dougal and gone for low impact. It's a bit of an unfair system really in that it penalises poorer clubs.

How many times has someone done the same as Doogs this year and got off with a fine. ******* ********.
Amons was unlucky but was expecting.
Even so, both of them are a bit unfortunate that their surname isn’t Dangerfield or Ablett - they would have got off.

No suspensions but its not a showdown with out a fine or two. My fear Saturday night that Christian might find something and we would have a suspension or two like after the Cats win.
