Yes and no. One thing that has always bugged me about T2 is something that often goes completely unnoticed: if you go in cold, you don't know who's the good guy and who's the bad guy until the hallway shootout where John, Arnie and the T-1000 share the scene for the first time. A good 30 minutes in?

But unfortunately, even back in 1991, no one actually went in cold, because "Arnie is the good guy now" was so central to the way the film was marketed. Even as a 10 year old I remember being bugged by that.

I was lucky enough at twelve to have this experience having just seen T1 on VHS like days earlier and then watching T2 completely baffled by the fact that liquid policeman robot was the bad guy.

Yeah I saw T2 first as well, and Aliens before Alien. I remember thinking the latter was boring af in comparison at the time.

I also found it odd that people who didn't know he was gay, expected him to address accusations of sexually harassing a male without acknowledging his sexual preference.

A few years ago the ACT gumment thought they'd be smart and have a public holiday on the first Tuesday in November, 'Family & Community Day' or some such wank - nothing to do with a certain horse race down south on the same day of course - but it nearly sent all the catering providers in Canberra broke due to the lack of office functions, so they gave that idea away pretty quickly

I think the problem is that he has benefited by being in the closet for so long, that being forced out of it as a result of this incident in particular was beyond the pale.
