Haven't you heard? Him and Coquelin have been playing like Cannavaro and Thuram in training.
Seems to be holding his own against Drogba, hasn't had a lot to do though.
It's funny that in a back 4 that includes Bielik and holding, Debuchy is probably still the worst of the lot.
The injuries took a massive toll on Debuchy. But what I noticed really regressed is his positioning.
He drifted in so many times centrally in the handful of games he played last year. And left wide gaps on his wing to be caught out on. Really bizarre.
I wonder if that brief stint as a deputy CB the previous season (again, being played out of position) contributed to his regression. He was playing like a half RB half CB at times.

He played at centre back all season for the under 21s.
Coquelin went down and came off - didn't see what happened after that

He came back on, then was subbed.
Holding and Bielik haven't been too bad. Bielik with the errant pass that led to the goal.
Walcott has been Walcott. Ox actually been alright.
Probably too early to tell the severity. Might just be a precaution to come off. Don't know yet.
Holding looked fine. It's difficult to gauge from these kind of games, there's little intensity out there and they're usually played at about half pace.
Drogba scoring was always a given though.
Reine-Adelaide is a big boy for an 18 year old. He's listed at 6 ft 1 but looks taller than that on the pitch.

He looks very impressive. Now a first team player but there's many ahead of him in the squad, should be loaned out.

Agreed, put him somewhere hes going to be a key player and watch him shine. Then bring him back hopefully brimming with confidence and he could turn into anything.

From the limited amount of time I've seen him play, Xhaka looks to be the perfect signing for us. Holding did some good things today too so could be one to watch in the future.
Would be happy with Mustafi. Let's hope it happens.

Chuba couldn't even make it at Hull ...
Again, it's hard to read too much from these games but Xhaka, Holding, Reine-Adelaide were all pretty good.
But he's like a new signing!
