Toral was the more hyped prospect but those you had watched the two said Bellerin was more likely to make it. Which doesn't make a heap of sense but Toral is half english (english mother) and coming from Barca was hyped as the next Fabregas thus the added hype.
I could not remember which one had the bigger reputation. Toral was always going to find it harder though due to Arsenal having 50 guys in his position.

Mangala was a terrible piece of business. You can see where Gabriel will improve. Can't see the same thing in Mangala.
I can.

You might be surprised (I was) but our record when Mangala starts is better than anyone else in the team.

He makes the odd cockup per game but in a lot of cases that is down to the ridiculous lack of support all our defenders are given.

Im hoping Wenger is just sprouting this shit about Theo to make hime easier sell but its likely he's just deluded.

I imagine he's spouting it because good managers never dump on their own players in public to the press, whether they're staying, going, playing well, or playing shit.

If Wenger started talking down his own players chances of playing international football, especially for England, he'd be ripped heavily for attempting to influence national managers against selecting his players, which you can't do, no matter how beneficial it is to the club. You can backroom it, but you can't put it on record.

The club doesn't owe Flamini anything really, but wouldn't be surprised if he features. Arteta and Rosicky though definitely deserve a farewell.

It's a shame how quickly Arteta deteriorated, he was fantastic for his first 2-3 years at the club. Probably the pick of those deadline day signings we mustered after the 8-2.

Was a very important player during that transition period at Arsenal. Injuries curtailed him.

Same with Rosicky. Magnificent when fit.

We have given him more than enough, a hefty 3 year contract when he was washed up and finished.

Would have loved if Rosicky wasn't made of glass, he was a special player, loved loved loved that Tottenham goal in like the first minute

He saved some of his best for Spurs. Scored a quality solo goal in the Cup game 2 years ago.

Also gave us the lead in the first of the 5-2 in 2012, the game where we were down 2-0 in the first half but then hit 5 after that.

Injuries crippled him. Barely sighted the last year or so but before that could really only muster 15-20 games a season in recent years. Been at the club for 10 years but can only imagine the number of games he's missed in that time.

A genius though when on song. Great to watch.

Interesting if we bring in both Holding and Toral into the squad for next year.

Holding is listed at 6'8 on Wikipedia......that's taller than Mertesacker's 6'6 and Peter Crouch 6'7  surely that can't be right?

I'd love to see an inundation of youth come flow into the first team next season if we don't sign anyone bar Xhaka. Better to finish in 3rd/4th with a squad for the future than a UCL scrape from a stale, injury-prone, imbalanced shithousery of a playing group.

Willock/Toral definite ins for mine.

Possibly the strongest team we've put out all season tonight, no goodbye for Rosicky, no walcott in the squad:

Wilshere starting over Ramsey can't be a bad thing. No Walcott too - ******* fantastic, hopefully he's on his way out. Don't let the door hit you on the way, Theo.

And hopefully Campbell on the bench is an indication he's staying.

So Santi or Mesut on the left, and Alexis on the right?

My guess is Arteta will come on for Wilshere between 60 and 70 minutes.
