Just wanted to get everyones thoughts on who will get the US Open WC's from Tennis Australia. Obviouslly the mens one will go to Hewitt. Unless he is not fit i think Ebden will get it. But the really intresting is who is going to get the womens one. No one has really had a standout season. Sally Peers is defeding R2 points but she is out of the top 300 im pretty sure. Her last match before this week was Wimbledon qualies then she reached the second round of Bronx. I think either Rogowoska or Dellaqcua will get it. Im hoping Rogowoska. Fergurson isnt even in contention she is not played in ages.

It's actually going to be interesting with Hewitt in a race to be fit for the US Open and likely he won't be able to decide till the start of the tournament. Now, if Hewitt pulls out when the draw is released, I'm assuming they would use a LL. Bit of a tough spot but given it's 10 years since Lleyton's win (I can't believe it...) he deserves the right. It could go to either Ebden or Matosevic if Hewitt isn't fit, both have basically had the same results and Matosevic qualified for Wimbledon which might give him the edge.

As for the women's, I think it should go to my sister, she would enjoy the trip to New York and is playing better tennis than the other Aussie girls.... No, Casey is the default choice, former top 50, can't be ignored especially given no other women is winning.

Well Hewitt got the mens one and Casey got the womens. Pretty expected hopfully the both get good draws. Hewitt also take a WC into Winston Salem open.
