Bye bye the purple people and De La, welcome OT and CG. Should be a great year in the best local football competition in Australia.

OT return after 3 years and Caulfield after 2.

Good effort by both clubs and the challenges of playing at this level are well understood with plenty in both playing groups blooded in A Grade.

That being said I think both clubs will need to pick up a few and continue to have their younger players develop to be consistently competitive.

Same same from these two when they come up. Need to scramble ahead of Bernies and Blacks to survive.

Final four same as current season.

For the love of God (Catholic and Protestant) shorten the season and Saturday GF!

Goldy lives in Greenvale (he mentioned that on the 200 plus podcast with Nick Butler - a premiership player at Old Ivanhoe), so I'm not sure playing for the love of the game at Old Trinity or Ajax will help feed his five children. I also doubt any of his mates are still playing at those clubs, and let's remember that what usually brings blokes to a club from the AFL is that they have a couple of mates who play there.

Don't worry about OB.

OB won the under 19s Prem A for the second time in a row, Bomb. That place is a footy production line.
Yet they couldn’t fill their reserves team last week? If they don’t win it this year, they’ll never win it.

A lot of the old Bwighton boys are funning it and sunning it in Croatia. So there is that temptation for all of them using daddy's money.

Which club in the southern is looking at them? East Brighton I assume would have a crack at a few of them.

I don't know if what he is saying is true but East Brighton is definitely the Southern club he is implying will take a few from OB.
The father of an OB premiership player, a well known VAFA person himself, has been appointed coach of the Vampires for 2026 so there is a distinct possibility the son and some of his mates could be enticed across to Hurlingham.

It would be hard to leave the Old Bwighton OC team that just won its first Prem A premiership and is stacked. Most of the Old Bwighton players have worked hard together to get into the team and then win a flag so it would be tough to ply them from the Club.

Plus Old Bwighton has won the last two under 19 premierships in Prem A so they have a ready-made production line of players coming through anyway.

They will be hungry for more success!!
