He definitely would have been a contributor. I could see a similar gut-running, link-up style similar to what Brad Ebert, Cam O'Shea and Kane Cornes bring to the table, and jagging the odd goal.

I was looking at the clubs senior list on the port adelaide website, they have John in there again. Has he always been there this year or have they added him again for this weekends final against collingwood?
Thought about this today. Remarkable that we're playing each other in a final.
Best of luck to both sides.
I think a lot of us having been.....
I would love us to win this game for J-Mac, but it wouldn't bother me if Collingwood win also, cause I will follow them in the finals.....
How Ironic this game will be...... this game is a 50/50 cause I cant see which club he would be rooted for.... both clubs will use this as a motivation tool.
Perhaps it would be prudent to have t'shirts made for the game with 35 on it...
Isn't it almost the one year anniversary this weekend? - if not, it might only be a matter of a couple if days. I know John's death occurred on a Sunday morning in the US, so Sunday night/Monday in Australia.
Remarkable irony in the schedule this weekend.
To make the finals but to play Collingwood of all teams.
Addit: John died on 9/9 US time
Game is played on 7/9 - wow
