living in footscray I'm finding myself more and more attached to the dogs, I'm happier tonight about footy than I have been pretty much the whole time I've been following Richmond.

I'm sick of supporting such a pathetic team and I'm sick of being the joke at work. If the dogs win next week I might just change.

Well I'm sad following Richmond.

Sport is meant to be entertainment. Since richo and the occasional jack blinder I have not been entertained. Walking into the office after yet another pathetic game and being laughed at even in a joking friendly way is not entertaining.

True! Being the laughing stock of the competition is quite frustrating. Also, anything to do with Richmond gets blown out of proportion so badly in the media. (Especially the negative stuff)

meh, i dont care what internet types think of me. ive got better things to do in life than be depressed because of the footy all the time. however im not going to give up footy because i happen to quite like it, so i will just watch a team that even if defeat shows guts and determination, and that when they are down the ladder you know they have proven to be able to come good again (both things the tigers have a proven inability to do). proximity and friends means that just happens to be the dogs.

plus ive enjoyed watching them more the last 3 weeks than i have us the last 3 years across our most recent dynasty of success.

I bet Dogs supporters were saying the same stuff we are now, two years ago.

last year bulldogs were tipped for bottom 4

they shocked everyone making an elim yet went out.

This year some even thought they would drop out of the 8th, they went into the finals underdogs in every game and now they are in the GF...

Really shows the AFL isn't always predictable... People are going to start saying we will be bottom 4 next year, for all we know we could do a bulldogs resurgence..

I'm not saying its guaranteed but its certainly possible.

The club needs to sit down, look at this fact and do something about how bad things are going for Richmond. The lack of success is getting ridiculous now for a club that is supposed to be in the top-tier league that endeavours to equalise the game.

Second, they do enough moping on about bad season starts, 3 elim finals loses... and honestly olook where that got us this year, they need to forget it and just focus on the future.

No you're right, the club shouldn't mope. They should do something to change the fortunes of the club.

Instead they retain underperforming board members and staff for 10+ years and extend the contract of the coach who has barely taken us from shit to mediocre. Stability.

I think they need to be confronted with the reality of where they at and just toughen up and do something about it.

We hear so much about "we only showed the guys the EF once" etc. No more of that. If they are too mentally weak to handle that, then the door is there they can walk through.

Enough is enough with this mental weakness. I am over it. Anyone with that kind of attiitude (coach or player) is not required at Richmond in my opinion because this is just not what we need.

For one, showing them only once didn't work for them either. Secondly, move on to what? The same thing that they did the last time?

The problem is that we seem to fall into similar traps again and again. This is why I am wondering if they actually ponder about their past mistakes enough. They need to analyse it in depth, pick it apart and spend on it for a while. Maybe that will change things

Oh piss right off. You can't right off our grand finals ffs. I was there in 1980 and 1982, how many dog supporters still alive that have seen there team in 2 grad finals let alone winning one?

I am stoked for there supporters who stuck fat since 1961 they have showed loyalty and character a lot more then some weak as piss views stated here.
