How many personally attacked Cogga, rather than dispute his post? I guarantee you Cogga attacked more people personally in that thread than the reverse.

Doesn't change the fact that Cogga did not heed previous warnings about personally attacking fellow posters. If you have an issue with the way the board is run, might I suggest you take it up with admin?

I would say the mods do a fantastic job. This is if anyhting is one of the most easiest going forums on Bigfooty if anything the Mods should put the hammer on a couple more.

True everyone has an opinion and has every right to express that opinion but it gets a little old when that opinion is brought up everyday and in every thread regardless of the topic. Its tiresm and in all honesty it kept me from Bigfooty for a while.

Regardless of what some would have you believe, a differing of opinions is NOT grounds for infraction. Resorting to abuse, saying someone has s*** for brains, saying they are a waste of oxygen etc is grounds for infraction.

No we have a difference of opinion, there are a few posters with targets on their backs, me included and cogga was one of them, I see it as the start of the cull, the ones that are left can sit around the campfire and sing koombaya, and bask in the stability off the club

I agree, he was a bully to many and just plain abusive, not just to other posters but our playing list and coaches etc...

Bleeding RFC as we all do does not give a free pass to behave and communicate as he did, his ban is justified.

This is exactly it, but add in another couple of warnings for abuse before the infraction. He had plenty of warnings about it and continued to do it. This on no-one but Cogga himself. He put himself in that position and had previous history of doing it, and plenty of warnings as well.

You have a target on your back? mate this is an internet forum for RFC, these Mods from my understanding don't get paid, its basically a free for all with a few simple rules, one being extreme abuse and bullying...

People also need to remember there was a mod notice a little while ago from Equus who implicitly stated that Fellow Poster Abuse would not be tolerated and would be punishable by infraction for repeat offenders.

If you want to go there, I walked away because I didn't have time for it due to work, Uni and helping to care for my now deceased Grandmother. My opinion before, during and after my time modding this board is unchanged. Although now I'm probably more informed and have very little sympathy for someone who infracts out when there is ample opportunity to change. If they don't want to change that's their choice but it is also the choice of BigFooty to remove someone's access

Every single person I have spoken to outside of discussions in the Yarran thread last night and this thread this morning is disgusted. The only people that want to make this about Cogga are those who are mates with him or are anti-establishment. I get that, you want to look out for your mate, but you have a one-sided bias view and you all just shat over what is a really sad time for a player to serve your own purposes. You should all be ashamed

DrMike is right. Cogga being banned was a cumulative infraction total worth 20 points. It wasn't a singular infraction, as only supers and admin have the ability to instantly permaban.
