I mean NM's vfl team is very weak this year so if we are where we want to be at we should be dominating them.

Essentially yes their vfl team is drafted afl kids plus a bunch of 18yos from tassie plus a few fringe state league players. They havent been able to recruit the quality state league players this year that most of the victorian clubs have.

Interesting, there's been a change in the bests which is why an earlier tweet is now unavailable - first edition had Jarvis as the best and Narkle about 3rd or 4th on the list

IMO - great strategy to bring Lang and other GFC alumni into the VFL squad - skilled, mature bodies who know the system and the people. Also - think it’s got to be good for the players, coping with disappointment with original delisting to be embraced again by the club.

We have a practise game vs Coburg 1pm sat at Deakin uni

Guessing it may be similar to the VFLW fixture - the first 3 weeks were announced one week at a time, and then last week at a time and then last week announced about 3/4 weeks in one hit

Thinking it'll be a slow burn in terms of the fixture announcement, 4/5 weeks at a time if we're lucky

Round 1 good news and bad news.

Good news - VFL game is prior to AFL game at home
Bad news - whoever the poor AFL sub is most likely won't play any minutes. Although I suppose we could do what Richmond did and have someone rub their knee and go off to get a fresh player on.
