VFL Prelim Final!

Collingwood have made it to the prelim this week in the VFL against nth Ballarat and it would be great to get as many supporters to do the double header this saturday and come to Port melbourne and support the boys.
Come on Pies lets make it 2 wins this weekend!

i'll be there with bells on. doing exactly the same as last saturday with a few mates - down to port melb to catch the 2's and ease the nerves with a few quiet cold ones before heading straight to the G for the main event. massive day for the club would be awesome to see as many pies fans as possible getting down to teac oval to help get the 2's over the line

My young bloke and I are driving down from Canberra Friday night after work, and we plan to get there in time to watch the Ressies and make it a big afternoon/evening of finals footy.

Now, where exactly is the venue? TEAC Oval - is that the old Port Melbourne ground? And do you get in for free with your Collingwood membership? No matter, we'll be there in any event.

SEN will be covering it live, they do a decent job from what i heard of the port vs box hill game on sunday. Don't know if there's a delay on either coverage (sometimes they have the 10 second delay on television coverages) but ABC with the sound down, SEN playing and a laptop with JBs live rundown going....complicated but good day on the couch if you can't get there

doesn't apply cos it's a final. i tried it week 1 of vfl finals and still had to fork out $15

i take the line that i have just forked out $112 for sat night so another $15 isn't going to kill me earlier in the day

it's a great day out. dunno if we'll be allowed this week cos it might be a bigger crowd but the last couple of weeks you could go out to the huddle at 1/4 and 3/4 and listen to what rowdy has to say to the troops

Didn't we just sneak into 8th and then knock out 5th and 1st? (I have never paid any attention to VFL, I'll admit, except for reading up on some of the form of our listed players every now and again, so I might be well off.)

If true, pretty amazing effort to get where we are already.

Who's actually going? I might head down if I can figure out how I'd get there. What time does it start / would you recommend arriving?

7th and knocked out 6th (who smashed us last time) and second (who also smashed us last time)

It should finish about 4.30ish.. perfect time to slowly make your way back to the G.. Couldnt think of a better way to spend the day before the big game. I think its only about a 10 minute tram ride from crown.
