McKenzie and Hughes are rookies and take them out and it's 12 senior listed players.

With Miller and Watts poor today he'd be a certainty to come in to the side, maybe big PJ as well (I can't believe I'm wanting PJ and Dunn in, but at the expense of Miller its not much damage to development, and I'm not sure what to do with Watts).

Tapscott is still 4-5 with a hip injury.

Martin was listed on the bench. I presume he played.

On the bench in the VFL? He looked like he had a fair bit of upside, I'm not sure what's going on there. It seems crazy that they would keep giving Miller a game when he is clearly not up to it. How do Strauss and Maric go?

I think Martin was injured at some point, and has been playing mainly in defense for Casey.

Also how could you want to bring in Johnson over Dunn.

Johnson has shown absolutely nothing when he's been in the team this year, while Dunn has shown a little bit. Plus you can't argue with 8 goals, could be a bit of a confidence booster for a player who is unreliable around goal.

Yeah I agree that Dunn should come back in after kicking 8 but we also need a back up ruckman for Jamar. At one point today Sylvia was taking centre bounces... ridiculous. If Jamar gets injured we won't win another game this season.

We do need a back-up ruckman, but I'd hope that Stef Martin can get a bit of wind in his sales and get back to perform that job. He can at least offer something around the ground.

If Johnson is going to be an absolute waste of space except in ruck contests, I don't see how that's any worse than having Sylvia/Miller take the ruck duties and get 1 hitout between them.

That's probably right Fight For It, i'm not sure if Gentle Johnson has the right mentality to be any good. It's a pity because he has got all the physical attributes and skill, just doesn't have any aggression in him. They should be picking Stef Martin then and developing him. We obviously aren't going to make finals this year so start developing the list. Time to have a clean out of all our players who aren't going to be part of the future:
