Game not too far from being done. When it is finished allocate up to 15 votes as you see fit to our better players on the night. 5,4,3,2,1 is the traditional way to do it, but any other combo is allowed as long as no single player gets more than 5 votes.

Apeness made his debut after not even being named initially on Thursday. He qualifies as a 'Young Bloke'. If you think his game was worth it, you can give him a BYB vote as well.

See this thread for more info.

5. Fyfe
4. Suban
3. Neale
2. Barlow
1. Mzungu

BYB The Ape!!!

+10 brownie points to The Beast

5 - Neale (another unobtrusive BOG from Lachie who is clearly relishing being the little fourth in amongst our big three - he's also our best goalkicking mid at the moment, for mine)
4 - Fyfe (would have taken about eight classic marks if the conditions hadn't been so greasy - as it was, his presence around the ball proved invaluable)
3 - Suban (Nick's most consistent performance for a whole game in quite a while, and when that left boot is on song it gives us very powerful drive)
2 - Barlow (I thought Mick was tracking to be BOG but he did fade somewhat late - conditions conducive to his best and he is a vital link man there in the middle)
1 - Ibbotson (for a while I thought Garrick would never actually take a clean mark tonight, but he concentrated gamely and finally got back to that interceptor role he played for much of last year prior to his injury)

Honourable mentions to Spurr, Ballantyne, D. Pearce and Morabito.

BYB - Apeness, definitely. One game doesn't make a career, but tonight we could finally see a pinpoint of light start to appear as we consider our forward line post-Pavlich - once he adjusts to the pace of AFL, the clunks will come and so will the goals.

This is a hard one, there was so much effort & so much to like.

4. Fyfe (would be 5 if he could hold on to the ball - should've worn a glove ;))
4. Neale (equal best on ground)
2. Suban
2. Ibbo (for his infinite interceptions & playing on a guy 6 foot taller than him)
1. Barlow (could've been BoG but faded a bit)
1. Mzungu
1. Ballas (tried his little heart out without his wingman Pav)

BYB - Apeness. Almost forgot this woops. He had a hard task, and him taking on a couple of quality defenders was his way of contributing to the scoreboard in the first half. And damn he can tackle!
