5. VB - Top game. Nice to have someone dominating the clearances for once. :thumbsu:
4. Douglas - Most improved player on our list IMO. Is starting to reap the rewards for his hard work.
3. Stevens - Nice return to form. Was very clean out there today (unlike most).
2. Dangerfield - Absolute gun. Is unstoppable when in full flight.
1. Reilly - Another pretty good game from Radar

Aside from Walker, and Gunston being the first senior list debutant in quite a while who didn't look lost, it was a bit of an average showing from the juniors.

POTY:
5. Douglas - easily our best
4. Thompson - we are stuffed if he goes to the gold coast
3. Stevens - reads the play better than any other
2. Mackay - blistering first quarter set up the game. Our best and most important player IMO. Ran out of gas.
1. Mcleod - how about those goals!

BTM:
3. Douglas
2. Rutten - Kept at it despite fev kicking freaky goals
1. Petrenko - Interception in the middle was so important. My fav player

ROTY:
3. Walker - Best goal celebrations in the afl
2. Schmidt - still has some nervous moments but was very good
1. Gunston - looks a player

5 - Richard Douglas - Easily best on ground today, and very easily his best game for the club. Those of you who've been around the traps for a while know what a huge wrap I was for this guy a couple of years ago - but I'd be fibbing if I said I hadn't jumped off the bandwagon. It was just a terrific all round game from Richie today, and I suppose it's the type of game that we've been expecting for a couple of years.

He's been gradually improving throughout the season, and he should be really proud of his performance today. 23 possesions (I think 10 of them were contested), 8 tackles, 7 clearances, 7 Inside 50s, 3.2. Fantastic to see him finally display what he's capable of! :) :thumbsu:

4 - Nathan van Berlo - His best game for ages. Amazing what you can do when your back isn't utterly ****ed.

3 - Patrick Dangerfield
- I love this guy. In ways I probably shouldn't. What a man! What a machine! We all owe Rendell a lot for having the balls to select Patty - our best selection at a draft ever?

As long as he can look after himself a bit more on the field, this guy should win a Brownlow - and hopefully captain a Premiership. I really can't emphasise just how awesome he is. Tough, wins contested ball, takes the game on. Not to mention that he's pretty much unstoppable up forward. Once he learns to win some more uncontested footy, he'll be a top 5 player in the competition.

Only 14 possesions, but 14 Dangerfield possesions are normally worth double anyone elses. Not to mention the goals. Crucial goals.

2 - Andrew McLeod - Drifted out of the game in the second half, but he was a dominant figure early on - and I think he really inspired a lot of others into action today. Could've, and probably should've kicked 4 goals, but he was class at key moments in that first half. That left foot goal was ridiculous when you consider how the wind was blowing.

1 - Scott Stevens - Not an outstanding game by any means, but he was ultra consistent. I'm always a little unsure on his quality, but he was good when called upon today I thought.

BTM

3 - Richard Douglas - 10 contested possesions, 8 tackles, 7 clearances. There was some flashy stuff, but it was easy to miss all the tough grunt work he did too.

2 - Nathan Bock - Brown obviously isn't even remotely close to full fitness, but Bocky did a very good job on him, irrespective of that.

1 - Patrick Dangerfield - More tough stuff in close. His ability to win contested ball is absolutely freakish. Just got to get him some ball out in the open now.

ROTY

3 - Taylor Walker - Didn't do much for the first three quarters, but he won us the game off his own boot. Those two goals were the best any Crows player has kicked for years.

2 - Abstain

1 - Jack Gunston - Not a lot of it, but did seem massively encouraging things with the footy when he got hands on it. That spoil that led to the McLeod goal (I think) was sensational!

5. van Berlo - the game is won and lost in the mid-field and VB dominated in that area. He was a running machine today, often working back to help the defence out as well. The game of a future captain. :thumbsu:

4. Douglas - could also have easily be given the #1 spot for his hard-working effort today. See bus24's post for his impressive stats which clearly demonstrate his love for the contest today. His was a match-winning effort today.

3. Reilly - another major mid-field contributor who was very good at the centre bounce clearances. Tagged Black and kept him to a moderate game by Black's standards. Made a couple of costly clangers, but overall a very impressive tough game from Reilly.

2. Bock - pantsed Brown, whther he was fit or not. Back to top form today, running the ball out of defense.

1. Thompson
- while obviously not 100% fit, he is the toughest, most courageous, though not the brightest, of our mid-field and all those qualities were on display today to surprisngly give ius a winning mid-field.

Best Team Man

3. Stevens - Mr Fixit did it all today - forward, back, ruck. Pulled his weight wherever he played. A top swing-man's game, which is not easy to do.

2. McLeod - would have loved to have squeezed him into the best because of the way he kicked us off in this game. A bit quieter as the game went on, but everything he did just oozed class.

1. Dangerfield - another future captain of the club. Strong, fearless, has a genuine crack. Still has enormous up-sides in him.

ROOKIE

3. Schmidt - top game by this lad against his old side, and won his position which is all we can ask of a defender. In the main, used the ball very well. He's been a good pick-up.

2. Walker - a bit of a mixed bag from the boy, missing a couple that should have been kicked. Then kicks 2 in the last quarter which were absolute gems. His left foot goal was longer than our poor old past player Skipworth could kick with his right. :D An absolute future gun!! :thumbsu:

1. Davis - I'm definitely starting to get the gist of just how good this kid will be. Plays with absolute poise, never panics and is rarely beaten.

AND a bonus point to

!. Gunston - playing AFL well before his time, but ladies and gentlemean, you'd have to be blind not to see that this lad is going to be a very good forward for us in the long run. Reads it well, nice pair of hands and has a good footy brain. Once he has a bit more meat on him, he'll be very hard to keep under control. Really like the look of him. :thumbsu:
