I knew we haven't had a great record against Collingwood but was surprised to read only seven wins in twenty odd games against them.

Does anyone know how many times Collingwood has ventured over to play us at Footy Park??

I would guess it would be about 60/40 played in Melbourne.

i think adelaide and collingwood have played each other twice in most years (big crowd pullers). so im guessing its 50/50. collingwood have generally had the wood on us but we've won the last 2 which gives a better indication. will be a close game.

According to this website, our record (against Collingwood) is:

Home: Played 10 Won 5 Lost 5
Away: Played 9 Won 1 Lost 8
Other: Played 3 Won 1 Lost 2
Finals: Played 1 Won 0 Lost 1

Not sure what "other" means. Might make sense for games sold interstate, but I can't recall us playing Collingwood anywhere other than Melbourne or Footy Park.

Maybe it means at a ground in Melbourne, other than Collingwood's nominated home ground (ie playing them at the MCG when the Dome is nominally their home ground)?

I assume "other" includes Telstra Dome because I specifically remember beating them once at the MCG in 1998 (I remember because I was there) and then last year in round 2 at Telstra Dome. Not sure why a game at TD wouldn't be considered a Collingwood home game though.

There should be an asterisk next to that finals record considering where the game was played and where it was meant to be played... :(

No that was right, Collingwood won the rights to have that prelim at home (they beat Port in the first week). It was our Semi Final against Melbourne a week earlier that should have been our home game.

That's correct.
One of the greatest games of footy I've seen, even better considering it was a 'home' final in Melbourne!

We have a terrible record against this scum, we must win tonight.
Our midfield needs to go forward and kick goals!

Clarke looks to be struggling early which is a real worry seeing as our Rucking was meant to be our dominant aspect.

Time will tell if Fraser can keep this up all night though.

Not enough backline pressure and no run through the midfield yet. Malthouse has done his homework.

C'mon Craigy, change the tactics.

Thompson's lack of disipline a worry again.

Not looking good out there at all. Just look rusty, even blokes like Rutten are burning the ball.

Collingwood are beating us at our own game, constant pressure on the ball carrier and running hard out of defence.

How is Thomas' debut?!? Bloody hell, looks the goods.

No accountability whatsoever. O’Bree 12 possessions, Buckley 9, Lockyer 8. No one is prepared to man up on their opponent. Our forward line is incredibly weak, and we need Ricciuto in the midfield because take him out and there is no grunt. So massive concernes at this stage. McGregor looks a step slower than Cloke, and just sloppy skills.
