We do play Melbourne again later this season but please oh please let this week be a win.

Wheres the game going to be won and lost? Do you think we're even a chance?

Looking at our fixture, we have Fremantle (Subi), Geelong (Skilled) and Adelaide (AAMI) which a lot of people wont be able to get to. So, Sunday the 18th of April YOU'RE BUSY. Get down to the 'G and hopefully see Richmond win!

As long as Post plays defence and Moore and Tuck are dropped I'll be happy. Would be nice if Astbury kicked 5 goals tomorrow. We really need another tall to help Reiwoldt. But lets just settle our defence first and let the attack take care of itself over the season

I want to see this defence next week:

FB: Tambling Thursfield Newman
HB: Connors Post Mcguane

I'm sticking with Tambo :thumbsu:
Post will be alot more effective at the defensive end of the ground and Moore needs to go

in a sick perverted way i want us to get beat next week. I want to see us go to hell first, toughen us up, we get a win and it just gives false hope to idiots who cant see the big picture. We're shit, very shit, the worst in the league by a mile atm, I want the club and all supporters to have no doubt about that sooner rather than later.

would rather see us win later on in the year with astbury, griffiths, dea playing and a fit midfield of cotcin with games under the belt, foley, martin and Lids. That's when I want to see us win, not against anther rabble like melbourne!

i agree with post in defence, i was pretty adamant that he would be more valuable as a forward but i was wrong and if he can develope with Leppitch in his corner he will be a good defender.

Dave Astbury is the man to play Posts role up forward so hopefully he can get some fitness up and come into the senior side and stay there.

we'll get plenty of I50s but no-one is capable of kicking a goal, listen if we can keep Melbourne to less than 7 goals I reckon we should win:eek:

...no one capable of kicking a goal for the tigers?!?!!......
...you jest...dont forget our secret weapon and goal kicker in jordy....bring it on!...:D...

I' say we need to show up and at least look possible winners. So far we have been hoping to get within 40 or 50 points of clearly better sides. I'd say Melbourne are on form only about 12 or 15 points better than we are so we have a decent chance.

It's all about development but we do occasionally need to get closer than 50 points otherwise it becomes a complete joke.

That's how I felt about Post last year when he took a couple of strong marks and kicked a couple of goals. I notice he's much better in general play when the ball is moving and he can take a short quick lead or when he has the ball in general play he looks great. It's just when play has stopped and he offers a lead it not a confident lead at full pace. I want him in the team all year but in defence. Looking forward to Astbury today at Coburg. I want us to be competitive

I'd still play Post up forward.

MT lost his marbles.:D

You must have had a few guinesses last night :p
Post looks so much better at half back and so does our team.
I want us to play competitive footy and whether Post is not a natural forward or just isn't ready to play forward, we can't really afford to waste him there at the moment because he'll progress alot quicker in defence and we'll be more competitive on the field

I wouldn't worry about too many changes for this week. I could only listen to the ABC last night and it was hard at times to guage who was effective as we copped an absolute bagging all night. But, i was happy with the outcome as i really thought we'd get done by around 80+ points. Thursfield (if fit) needs to come in, and maybe Polak/Gus or Browne in place of Simmonds. We got the ball into our forward line, but we butchered the delivery. I can't imagine the pressure around the pill will be the same next week end as what our guys have encountered all year so far. Including practice games, we have played Geelong, Hawthorn, Collingwood, Bulldogs, Carlton, Essendon and now Sydney. No wonder we're getting pumped most times. Lets suck it and see what happens next week end. We are a chance. So not to much to change in my book. And Martin sounded really good from what i heard, and for those calling for Moores head, he had 100% efficiency last night in a team that managed 55%.

Competitive !?!?!?!?! Against that team! You're kidding, lets go out there and get Dimma his first win or I will be ****ing annoyed. We can beat them even at this stage in our development and I expect it to be done.

ddn't one of those hack commentators say "I don't see a scully, trengove or watts in that team"

Yeah and they were pretty intent on getting elongated updates from the game at the MCG. The ABC hate us - try listening to Mark McClure talk about the Tiges. We all knew the score before the game kicked off, but it wasn't the most easy listening i've had. But, it was all i had, so i endured it.

:)Problem being, Captain, Simmonds has been awful for three weeks, but neither Graham or Browne showed last week against Williamstown that they'd could be remotely competitive at VFL level!!!!
Sad, sad state of affairs!!!
I'd rather Pattison giving his all and being just decent opposed to these three wastes of space!! At least Browne has time on his side!

To whom it may concern,

Get rid of that flipping Melbourne and Freo throwback Simmonds and let him never play another AFL match.

Yours Truly,

Captain Obvious

Not disagreeing goldy, but, if we are developing, i'd rather time into Gus or Browne. Could they do any worse?
