I'm disgusted because we traded pick 24 for a useless big man.
:eek:Can we please get passed who we might have got if we hadn't of..........
Warnock is like a lot of young kids who grow so tall so early. When they sprout to taller than the average young kid their bones don't get all the goodness early and are often suseptical to bone injuries due to the lack of calcium etc.
If they are looked after their calcium levels etc eventually catch up to the speed of their growth. Jacobs has gone through exactley that and is finally building strong bones and ligaments.
The coaches and medical staff keep telling us that kids need time to develop. But somehow or other as soon as they put on the "navy blue" jumper we throw all that out the door and "bag" them as soon as they don't perform early or keep getting injuries.
Please just look at the "half full glass":thumbsu: and not the half empty" glass:thumbsd:.

I'm not sure if we would then be able to give Jacobs the nominated roookie status in place of one of the other rookies, but it would not be an issue for very long as Warnock will be on the LTI until at least round 8 or so, only a few weeks before we are able to nominate a third rookie to be eligible to play senior games.

Your first 3 efforts are not without merit but no way can I hear the Carlton crowd screaming "Go you small, confused emoticon".

Warnock was always a project player (pick 42)that showed glimpses of talent. Especially when Sandi went down for a couple of games around 2007. Only ever had the one big 30 possesion game against Essendon (Hille,Bradley,Laycock?)

Early 2008 - Form didn't warrant selection
Midseason - Played a couple of games. Was promising without even having an outstanding game.
Late 2008 - Got injured, a injury that could have been played through (think Judd) Freo sent him in for early surgery.

Early 2009 - Required minor surgery on ankle. Injured his foot, then re-injured the same foot. So he has had hardly any pre-season meaning he will also have to be:

A. Match fit when he comes back
B. In Decent Form

How many games do you think he will play this year? Is 2010 now his breakout year?

So after 4 seasons thats what u guys are looking at with Warnock. By the way we got Zac Clarke with pick 37 (Wouldnt have reached for him if we had Warnock) He is a lot like Warnock but already runs a 15 beep test.

I like Warnock he always had natural ability but im starting to see him as another Andrew Walker

Who cares about Zac Clarke?

Pavlich will be retired by the times he's ready for AFL.

Warnock is that good?

Bargain.

Thank God we traded the pick and still drafted Mitch Robinson who we were after with pick 24.

We'll leave the soft divers to Freo and stick with brave players like Robinson and Steven Browne.
