I heard that too. Idiotic comment. Ross often says how much it meant to him that from the moment he walked in the door Pav and Luke sought him out and told him they were 100% behind him. He also said their support was crucial in instilling the game plan in the rest of the group.

If the rumour that there was friction between Pav and Harvey is true, then Lloyd's being best friends with Harvey would explain that baseless dig.

I think Lloyd was referring to the defensive side of the game. Everyone loves Pav and rightfully so but lets be real his defensive pressure previously was pretty much non existent.

That spoil on the weekend was prob the hardest ive seen the big guy work defensively

Maybe Llyod was just making reference to that heated argument back in 2012 down in Tassie. When Pavlich kept drifting into the midfield and Lyon wanted him to hold the forward structure. It's the ONLY friction I have seen between the 2 since Coach Lyon has come aboard.

Lloyd is just starting to take notice - he talks before he thinks....

Pav is chasing harder defensively than he has before but Matty Lloyd probably forgot that the main thing Pav has been chasing all season is match fitness.He has spent most of the season not playing chasing his tail around by himself.He has come back as fit as I have ever seen him and is about to present us all with and explosion of determination and brilliance.
Let's be clear and not neglect the fact that there is not a footballer playing AFL who is as deserving as Pav of holding the Premiership cup aloft.

That is how I read it, Pav bought into the game plan, but his defensive side could have been better. Lloyd was not being negative, just pointing out an area that Ross would be extra proud with.
