and the docker players would run out on the field. This was replaced by the banner, made by the BannerTeam.

Also there was a bunch of wharfies [normally from the supporters dressed as them] with pulling a rock onto the field. Once they arrived in the middle of the ground, or thereabouts one of the wharfies would climb the rock and remove the embedded anchor from the top of the rock, lifting above their shoulders to the roar of the crowd
I keep missing the pre-game entertainment due to my poor timing at parkingso this weekend I will try to get there by 20mins to see what they do these days.

Once years ago the rock was inside a sea container and it was towed onto the ground. they exploded the container with the rock inside as the adelaide team ran past.
