For the time, that was approx 3.5% of the Melbourne metropolitan area

To get that now you'd need 162750 in attendance
Yeah absolutely!! Thats a good find. Crazy really, back in the day (30's?) in Devonport they had a exhibition match of carlton vs collingwood. 11,500 people turned up, however the town's population was only 12,000.

150 goals in a season will never be broken unless there are major changes to the game that we all don't know of as yet. There is a drought on currently, but it still isn't as bad as it was post Coleman from 1955-1968. In the late 60's - early 70's we had a glut of 100 goal + full forwards. It is cyclical i suppose. The game is forever changing and it will again in favour of the FF at some stage when a coach comes up with the novel idea that goals actually win matches!

Once we have another 100 goal + full forward come along every other coaching department will follow suit.
Look at the fervour Buddy has created as a key forward in recent years and he isn't even close to being one of the best 10 forwards of all time?
The goal kicking record will stand for a long time yet! Individually we won't see anyone kick 18 goals in a game again, but with this rules committee buggering around with the game anything is possible?

Michael Tuck's playing record will be beaten at some stage, but maybe not his Grand Final appearances.
What's remarkable about Tuck is he played about 50 games in the twos before playing a senior game, he might not have played very long at all if not for the unfortunate injury to Peter Hudson at the beginning of 1972!

Geelong's 23 game winning streak will eventually go, but winning 4 Grand Finals in a row might be a stretch?

Ablett should pick up 4 Brownlow's by the time he is finished, he will be a stand alone there.

No team will ever kick 40 goals in a match.

you don't think in 100 years Essendon wouldn't lose 12 more GF's?

Games played is not out of the question, more and more people are playing 300 games over time....

Collingwood can also lose more GFs during that time - their head start is too great.

People a bit premature with their predictions on what records will never be broken. Four flags in a row is definitely achievable I reckon as is 40 goals kicked in a match.

The most amazing feat in recent times is probably Essendon leading Gold Coast at quarter time by 93 points.

Tony Lockett's goal kicking record.

Not really a record, but Tony Lockett's brownlow medal record for a FF.

Most goals in a grand final. No idea what it is, bit will probably not be bettered for a loooooong time.

Think Barrasi, Norm Smith & Jock McHale each have Tuck covered if you are looking at premierships directly involved with.
Just played, Tuck's got them covered.
