what did it mean to you guys when Northey took over and the club returned to finals?

Do you remember the 1987 panasonic cup win?

I've also got 3 kids that understand that food and shelter is wholly dependent on them being Demons.

Hmm this will prove an excellent thought... I have a 4 week old son that i am curently in a bitter, but unspoken struggle with my father in law (Cats)... I'm winning, he already as a Jack Watts poster in his room!

I was born into too. My early memory was watching robby flower play Richmond in the US back in the early 80's.

day i was born in september 88... my dad is a die hard and has made me the same... he was born in 63 but his dad had been a die hard aswel and saw all our dynasty premierships... i'm just hoping were about there again... remember watching gary kick those 10 against the dogs in 94 and my love for the ox still isnt dead...

GO DEES

And what was the feeling when he got the job? Especially as he hadn't done much in difficult circumstances in the Sydney circus. Incidentally I found an article yesterday that mentions who had been interviewed for the job after Barassi left;

The names were David Parkin, Kevin Bartlett, Carl Ditterich, John Northey, Tom Hafey, Stan Alves and Greg Wells.

Good to see Carl line up for a third crack at the Dees.

Hmmm i was divided between Melb and Geelong but was persuaded when i met Jim Stynes through a family friend. I also like west coast but copped shit at school cause they were interstate and no-one went for em!!

Born in to it. Its either follow Demons, or gtfo. Our family has a looong history of supporting melbourne. Everyone one of us do. My great uncle played for the dees during the early 40's. played in a few flags. and last year, when they selected the 150 best players for the club, My great uncle was named as one of them.

Richard/Dick Hingston. :D

First real game I remember in detail was in 2000/1999 when Farmer kicked 9 against Collingwood.. Great day :) But yer I told a bit of a Fib.. Did anyone actually think I was 66? :o
