I think the season will be back around June/July. Crowds are the ones that are a very long time away if they come back at all.

The only way that I see it come back though is if they all play in a hub and there is no positive COVID-19 diagnosis among the players. I don’t think states will ease the self-quarantine rule upon entering for a while. The most logical thing would be to have such a hub in Melbourne give the amount of teams in Melbourne, but I wouldn’t care if it was in another state if Victoria does not allow it.

My prediction is the first layer of normality will return around 15 June - professional sport, beaches and parks will reopen. Indoor activities accessible to the public (dine in restaurants, gyms, offices) not til 6 or so weeks later. Social distancing in place until the end of the year though so patron numbers limited.

If they are not back by first week of July then there is no hope of the season being completed. Problem is everyone is waiting to see which professional sport is going to make the first move and return to normality of sorts.

Caro saying AFL and Ch7 in discussions about re-starting to fill the schedule left empty by the Tokyo Olympics starting July 24. Ambitious! $$$$$$!

Daily games. Could be travelling interstate by then I guess in 11 weeks time, provided we don't see a Singapore-style spike. Won't take much to get a outbreak with such low transmission out there - hope they get it off the ground though.

Is anyone else upset and just real flat, thinking that we are losing 12 months of football while we are legitimately in our premiership window?
What does this do to the careers over our older players who are going to be 12 months closer to the end?
Does this mean Jack and Cotch retires 12 months later due to not having 12 months of ‘bash and crash’ on their bodies?
Been thinking about these kind of things a fair bit and it’s getting me down.

RFC are at the top of their game...maybe it's all about hunger and wanting one more GF for the club by the older players...
Can only prolong their playing time by this enforced break I reckon...I hope...plz....👍😉👍

Totally agree with that I reckon this could benefit our older brigade. The hunger won't disappear in this group.

I just can't understand why the afl is obsessed with getting the season on with asap considering health experts saying we still haven't reached the peake of it yet and were in a lockdown .How can you put a date on it cannot see sport starting any time soon a they living in a bubble. The get going of round 1 was nothing more then publiitcty for me and now this rubbish putting it on when the Olympics were suppose to be on.Question is are states willing to be used as hubs and a players all willing to go.

The most frustrating part about this apart from no play.
We're still in the premiership window and this happens.
Only solace is that our rivals are in the same boat and the next wave(Not carlton)will be still that year off.
