what qualifies as not soft? being a thug and punching ? they lacked punching?

I used to think Houli was soft so no point listening to me :moustache:

on the other hand it is a massive shame to have the year bastardized at best with the like of Grimes, Dusty, Floss etc. ready to explode again - and kids like balta, stack, baker etc.

even if there is an afl season 'in a hub' it sounds shit just wait till next season imho...

the richmond team that won the 2017 flag was rather 'young' and much of the core is stil around. the tigers may fair better from this than collingwood, geelong, hawthorn etc. ... maybe

oh yeah, they're both so soft. come on now, it's got to be a personal thing , they weren't soft
So you dont see something and dont agree with it so the person who does see it is angry or has a personal thing going on.
Not for one minute would you think your failure to see the deficiencies or even acknowledge what others have seen , that maybe its you with the problem.

Weather they were both soft or not many supporters saw it and commented on it. I suppose those other supporters are just angry or have a personal axe to grind as well.
Just because you are in denial for whatever reason or look at it different does it mean those people are wrong.

years of attacking great players of our club, couldn't properly acknowledge those players even when best on by the Flemington straight, must be an issue

mopsys been struggling for material since we started winning flags , he needs to reinvent himself to stay relevant

Game is way better now. Now you can attack the ball and the only thing that will get in your way is another player doing the same, instead of some thug who just wants to hurt you. Sometimes I think the rules are too harsh on incidental contact when going after the ball, but overall we are much closer to the mark than ever before.
After watching a bunch of replays of classic games from as recent the mid 90s and then watching last years Anzac Day game, you can clearly see the change of pace and how much more quickly players have to react in the contest. The skill of players to pick the ball up and dish out a near perfect handball to a teammate in a fraction of a second is incredibly under appreciated.
And that's with full respect to the past which is what the modern game is ultimately built on.

If a high proportion of Australians embrace the tracing app, and it ends up being super effective, I wonder if it will lead to crowds being allowed to some extent earlier than expected, perhaps having stadiums at a fraction of capacity and mandatory face masks for all attendees. The effectiveness would need to be well beyond expectations, and we'd probably need to be under 100 active cases. And maybe I'm being too hopeful, but I do wonder.
