Everyone on here will be in uproar saying he hasn't earnt it rah rah rah..

If he plays like he did on the weekend though he would have earnt a possible selection, but many people on here won't be able to see that.

I don't know if that would be in the back of his mind either as if he believed he was only being picked cos it was dreamtime it wouldn't be a massive confidence booster, and lets face it, confidence is not something he oozes.

NOT an anti-JON statement...but I would expect not anytime soon from what I just read in The Hearld Sun.
According to Wallace, we (Richmond) "has been ina situation over two or three years where we've almost gifted games to soem young players to get games under their belts."
"Now we've got guys queued up waiting to play."
So, when will JON play? When his form DEMANDS he play. That means sustained good form.
I see we all expect to go pretty much unchanged again....as we should!
So not anti-JON, more a warning for ALL players outside the current senior 22...don't go losing form anytime soon.

You obviously haven't watched him very closely. He's actually good in contests, and he runs hard to receive. That's what you want in a HBF. Frankly, I don't care if he plays at all this year. I like the fact our young blokes are starting to get the chance to develop and mature physically at a lower level rather than being thrown to the wolves early because we have no other options. How many West Coast 21-year-olds have we seen making their debut and looking good, and mature, and us thinking 'where did he come from?' If the powers that be believe in him, and it seems that they do, then I'd prefer they wait until he's smashing the door down.

Our current situation is that we have a group in the seniors that are playing well so the introduction of other players will only happen if any of them have form slumps or are injured.

We have been fairly lucky with injuries this year but this won't last

Whose blaming him? Simply stating that the guy has no idea and is taking up a valuable spot on the list and we should be putting our resources into someone who can play.

he said just after completing his second season its the same bloody thing. anyway ive interviewed him and he is a nice bloke, his dad died when he was seven cut him some slack hes only 20. he was picked up at 17 so this is the equivalent of another guys 2nd season
