Tough question for most of us. But for those who have been following this years draftees, where would Adams go if he was in the current draft?

I Think he'd go top 10, I think if Shaw wasn't involved we would have paid 10 or 11 for him.

He'd probably be worth around pick 5-8

Think kelly boyd scharenbeg clearly ahead of him, outside of that it gets grey

Based on stats, and the calls that this is a compromised draft, I'd say anywhere past the top tier of talent in the draft, so 6~15. When you consider that WCE thought 6 was almost equal to pick 11 then by that logic if Adams is worth around pick 11, he'd also be worth around pick 6.

It really depends on specific club needs. I couldn't see Geelong taking him until the 20s if then because they have plenty of extractors. Ditto Bulldogs. Essendon however might well take him at say 10.

Word has it Geelong were willing to part with pick 15, they may have even thrown in a sweetener.

Every pick is in it's place for now but of course there will be a bunch of mediocrities in the top 10, especially this top 10, so you'd say who the f*ck knows. A bird in the hand.

I'd suggest that any team that was looking to draft Dominic Sheed would have he and Taylor Adams in roughly the same bracket. They're both inside accumulators with reasonable skills and just ok pace, but elite endurance. Taylor Adams probably has a little more grunt/mongrel in him, while Sheed probably has more captaincy potential in the AFL.

So I'd say on an open market in the draft he'd come into it somewhere between 7-13.

The next frame of inside mids in the draft is the likes of Matt Crouch, Luke Dunstan, Trent Dumont, Patrick Cripps and Zak Jones, who all project in that 15-30 bracket, but you would think that as a prospect, he is a class above all of those players for different reasons.
