Just been reading up on his leap, standing verticle of 48 inches, that put his head 4 inches above the rim, and we marvel at NicNats leap lol, no wonder he could jam the ball from the FTL with a running leap.

I don't call that genetics, I call it alien.

Ablett Snr was maybe the 3rd or 4th best forward of his generation

Only got switched to full forward in his last 3 years and won 3 Coleman's. Would have been best forward by far in his generation had he always played forward.

My vote is Snr, didn’t get to watch a lot of him, but what I have seen online, he was miraculous. Jnr is a champion, no doubt, but I think Snr was better.

Don't think there's a whole lot in it. Snr had that bit more height that helped him in the air but they both were highly skilled, strong athletic freaks.

At Jnr’s age, Snr was still standing on people heads, kicking the tonne and taking home his third Coleman in a row. Jnr is/was a fantastic player, but the old man was just a footballing freak.

It’s not a short highlights reel though. Snr did the miraculous regularly. If output is racking up possessions, for sure Jnr wins, but for impact on games I’d take Snr. That bloke could pick a game up on his shoulders and move it.
