Just wondering who was ur first favourite player for the mighty cats?

Mine was Peter Featherby No.11 in about 82-83 only because i saw him get about 400 kicks in the one and only intra-club praccy match i have been to.

Had a few. The first couple were pretty inexplicable - Damien Bourke and Robert Scott (30 and 8). Then I went with Buddah and stayed with him until retirement. Don't have one anymore but it would be a nice big 11.

You've just pretty much named my favourites in order. Jack Hawkins, then Gary Ablett. On the day Gaz returned and we all turned up early to watch him in the twos, there was a mullet flying down the wing , bouncing the ball and slamming through a left foot goal, wearing number 49 (I think). We all grabbed the record to see who he was. Went on the senior list the next year and was given number 15. He's been my favourite since.

Peter Riccardi :)

Peter Riccardi was my first love, too... I still love him, but he's probably been narrowly edged out by No. 21, Moon Dog. I'm so in love with Cam right now. It's bordering on obsession.

Darren Flanagan. Same first name as me and I used to play in the ruck as a kid. Gazza Snr after that. Joel Corey now. Nath & Tommy Hawkins in the future.

Rod Blake - had his number on my duffle coat, plus Andrew Bews - still remember the day he kicked the goal of the [insert time period here]. I was down the other end standing on my little chair - was just able to see it all unfold - beautiful.

I had the big number 33 on the back of the jumper and the duffle-coat. Terry Bright's number 4 also graced one of the duffle-cots shoulders. But since then it's been the trusty old number 5 although a 29 isn't too far away.
