I tend to think we will get one of Higgins or Stanley, we have a good history of recruiting locals.

Apart from that who knows, but it will be good to get a "batch" of kids in.

What are the odds we have "hidden" Bonson away so we can draft him. If we do it would be a James Gwilt type surprise i would thinks.

Whatever happens i do trust Stephen Wells in whatever he does, he has the runs on the board.

Will be interesting though.

THe big bloke from Sandi would also be an option

Jack , is this who you think the Cats will draft or who you think we should draft ?

Thats who I would pick if I were in charge.

Our list was to top heavy last year, so I would replace 3 smalls ( Thurley, Rahilly & Slade ) and 2 talls ( Chambers & Haynes ) with 5 smalls.

However I can see there is a lack of depth in the ruck department, so I would rookie list a ruckman and a key position player.

Pick 15 - Dale Thomas (Gippsland Power) or Darren Pfeiffer (Norwood)

Fingers crossed one of them is available.

Jack , you will never get H out of the side if you draft 183,186,188,181 and ? (but he is short). !!

I think your logic is fair enough, we were too heavy quite often and we do need to rebalance a bit but im not sure the group that you have named has nailed it. I beleive it has been noted that GFC think Higgins is concidered to much like our other mids, maybe Jackson the same although I like both
Like to see us grab Thomas or Varcoe to add a bit variety to the mix.Id like McKinley to add to our forwardline

15 - Richard Douglas

31 - Ben Mckinley

35 -Matthew Spangher

47 - Matthew Riggio

61 - pass

Pre season draft - siegert

The way it's looking now, Higgins is getting mentioned by all the right people to get pick top 10 or even top 6. So we may not get a chance in the end.

There is no key position player available at pick 15 that would be ready to play next year anyway. Tom Hawkins in 2007. Henry may be able to develop into a 2nd ruckman swapping into a forward pocket, but our future is not with Henry the goat at CHF.

A lot of GFC followers, myself included have payed of lot of interest to young Tom yet even when we draft him at the end of next year we probably wont see him play till 08.Then it will be another couple before he is a solid KPP. You and I, had better hope you are off the mark with H, esspc when not trying to find a replacement. A tall forward , if required by us, picked at 15 would still be drafed earlier than most on our list, which infer more raw talent.

Higgins local and bottom aged, would be a shame to be a champion eslewhere.

No way Mckinley or Spangher will be there at 31 and 35

Spangher will go mid 20's and Mckinley will go around the same time

:) PROBABLY a reason why jack you flip burgers and serve fries. Not a recruiters ........ Way off the mark - Higgins to go top 10.

And admit it...Henry is the future - albeit bleak!!!!!!!!!
