I work at a prominent suburban melbourne hotel, and last weekend, an indian male came to the hotel (after being banned for abusive behaviour 2 weeks earlier) and attacked our WHITE security guard.

Surely this would be a racially motivated attack? a person of indian decent attacked someone who was caucasian....

probably because the victim was pink white, not white white, or maybe just brown white? also how far descent or as you put it "decent"
was the indian? if only half indian surely its only partly racist.

Your post indicates that the Indian guy held a grudge for being kicked out. That suggests that the motive was revenge and not because the victim was white: therefore not a racist attack.
Simplistic stuff to see a fight between guys of different races and then immediately leap to the conclusion that it MUST be racially inspired.
My impression is that the motives for posting has much more of a racist intent.

I think that was the point. Certainly the media, both Australian and Indian, have jumped straight to that conclusion recently.

Well I guess you'll need to ascertain if the Security Guard was attacked because he was white.

You see some Indian's are attacked because of their RACE

See the connection?

I think it was just a little too obtuse for some people MM.

Just because the "victim" is non-white caucasian "orstrayan" doesn't mean the attack is racially motivated.

On a side note, I think Melbourne is probably one of the least racist cities in the world.

Caucasian isn't even a race FFS

caucasian is what groups "white" people, simmilar to asians being grouped in one, despite also have other race's.

And some people have missed the point, i know it wasnt a racist attack, i was making a point about the media portraying white people one way, and non-white another.

Maybe not missed the point, MM, but the post was at best misleading. The media frequently stereotype groups/individuals - as most minority groups would attest. Your post seemed to imply a 'reverse racism' which, in the incident you cited, is quite baseless. I still interpret your OP as redolent with racist undertones.
BTW, 'Caucasian' is an outmoded anthropological term that originally described a wide group peoples from Europe, Indian sub-continent, Africa and the Middle East. Only relatively recently has it been misapplied to describe whitish Europeans.

The Indian media are no better or worse than ours in the way they hype situations concerning ex-pats.

I blame the media.

they have jumped to that conclusion not because of one incident - but because of a pattern of incidents.

victoria police a couple of weeks ago said they've been aware of a problem of racially motivated violence against Indians for around 2 years.

if we start seeing heaps of indians attacking anglos then yeah you could say there may be an issue but with one attack (which as mentioned above clearly had another possible motive) you cannot play the race card.

Hilarious how this thread has so many views yet the leftist pigs are keeping away from it. I suppose they are scared of exposing their own hypocrisy :D

Funny how this thread has so many posts but only one worth reading :)

Perhaps they are clever enough to see through it?
