Just thought I'd share this. Looking back at the 2005 Draft where we picked up Murph (What a bloody champ!) - there were 3 teams that had Priority Picks.

At number 3, it was Hawthorn (who won the flag in 2008), at number 2 it was the Pies (who won it in 2010) and then at number 1 it was the Mighty Blues - 2012 will be our year!!!

After I finished laughing at Essendon's delusions of power I think they are right up there with Richmond. I think you guys will probably knock us out of the top 4 this year. I will say this though both clubs have a responsibility to do whatever it takes to make sure Collingwood have to wait another couple of decades to win a flag.

On a serious note - I think the big difference and why many actually think we are contenders this year is our bottom 6. It's not your best players that win you a Premiership it's how much the bottom 6 will contribute to your output. With the immense competition for spots in the First 22 - players like Curnow, Russell, McLean, Hampson/Warnock, Ellard/Carazzo/Joseph, etc that might not make it and when you consider our bottom 6 of our starting 22 being possibly Thornton, Tuohy, Lucas, Laidler, Hampson/Warnock & Ellard/Carazzo/Joseph then we gotta be pleased with our starting 22. There will be No Passengers this year - any of these will be dropped if they think they can get a free ride.

Can't wait to see what Lucas can contribute this year. Him on one wing and Yarran on another will be awesome!

Honestly reckon Carlton has a better list than Collingwood if Judd keeps fit. Top four for sure and once you're top four... pretty much down to luck.
