when carlton are a finals team maybe 4 or 5 years down the track does any1 think carazzo would still be there? he has a few flashes of greatness but does he have the consistency?

Very hard to say about Carrazzo. I certainly think he has the ability to become a 150+ game player in the AFL, however, his form is still very inconsistent, and he tends to go missing for long periods in the game.

Next 18 months will be pretty important in the career of AC.

Maybe you can have a competition? I know who my money's on.

He has not been in our worst 5 players once this year - players like JK, JR and Bentick have had a couple of shockers each. I think Carrots has the skill, some of that x-factor and the versatility to play back, forward or in the middle.

I think he will be around for some.

Too slow. Won't last in the long term

Are you serious? Carazzo is one of the quickest players at Carlton....get your facts right before crucifying a bloke who is nowhere near the bottom 5 performers in 2007...

By the way - who else in the team has the versatility of being able to play defence, forward, midfield or tagging?

He's a great player and if Pagan left him in the midfield we'd start seeing the form he showed in the NAB Cup

Carrazzo needs to be played in the middle. Compared to Murphy, Bentick, Blackwell and Young he has the bigger body and is more experienced.

I am not sure if the stats on the website are up to date but this is what they suggest weight wise:

Carrazzo - 88kg
Bentick - 83kg
Young - 82kg
Murphy - 75kg
Blackwell - 70kg

like many of our players he needs to bridge the gap between his best and his worst

tries hard, but his disposal can let him down at times. can go missing for parts of the game, but he is not the only one

when you are playing in a losing team your flawes get exposed a lot more than in a winning team

i would like to see him go back to playing a tagging role, much like baker does for st kilda, without the dirty tactics.
would give him a greater role in the team.

I agree.

He is bigger and has a great capacity to win the ball. And don't forget how hard it must be for him to be pushed all around the ground to fill gaps. Give him 4-5 weeks in the centre playing near-full games and then judge his consistency. Bentick has had the luxury of playing in a fixed position. Give Carazzo a chance to do the same thing and see how he does.

Play him on the ball. He came through in the same year level as Judd Ball and Hodge and averaged more disposals per game in the TAC Cup, the guy is a ball magnet.

Very good bump, to the guys calling for him to go onto the ball, very good call!

I hope he can finish as a 200-game, 2 time B&F, premiership player for the CFC ;)

Probably the best run with player in the game, and the way he goes about shutting down players and winning the ball himself shows his class and ability and proves you don't need to resort to dirty tactics to be a tagger/stopper/run with eh Stevie Baker!
