Daicos in his second year is tracking for a Brownlow. The DNA was there when he averaged an unprecedented 36 disposals and 2 goals a game in juniors.

Will he surpass Ablett as the modern day GOAT?

Thing with Nick is his freakish work ethic to pair with his talent. That's what will drive a potential GAJ like impact.

He also literally only just started playing full time mid a few games ago. He's actually barely had any experience at AFL level playing full time mid. He's also increasing both his contested work and his tackling game in game out, and area where people have potential had an argument for criticism.

Played 3 games as a permanent mid now averaging 7 tackles and 14 contested possessions. Those were his only weaknesses. Sky's the limit.

If he is career isn't wrecked by injuries he's tracking to be in the same tier as GAJ.

He will be a 30 & 1 player.

Whether he surpasses GAJ or not will depend on accolades such as how many premierships won, brownows won, Norm Smiths, Big game performances etc.

I love JHF, he has limitless upside, his peak is several years away, needs time to grow stronger

Daicos has more readily adaptable skills and was always going to be instantly relevant

Gary wasn't trying for the first 5 years of his career though, Daicos is trying hard, and pretty much peaking as a result.

Gary Ablett was more powerful from stoppage and had much better inside game. Daicos is still a gun though.
