I reckon this is probably about the 70th time this thread would have been done in my time at BF

And when I say 70, I am serious
maybe some people would like to bring it up again, don't bother goin into a thread you think ur just ganna start sh it. Same to the ************ who bagged me for my originality, i actually knew a thread like this was up months ago, but some people like to touch on things more than once...

I think he will in time.

Just needs to find his best position.

Personally I think he should be played in the guts instead of on a half back/forward flank.

Let him play his natural game and he will justify why he was a top draft selection.

Dwayne Russell labelled him as "Nicole Kidman if she was singing with Korn". Gold ! :D

I watched a bit of the game and thought "I wonder if his nickname's Sideshow Bob?"

I hope that he really starts showing what 'percieved' potential he has. I would hate it to have 3 years down the track where he asks to be traded for a different outlook, like Ottens, Colbert, Thompson etc and he stars at the other club. My fingers are crossed for Hodge, really want to put the number 15 on the back of my new jumper this year.

Make this a Melbourne thread, you know you want to.

Actually TJ has had injuries every year he's played but that doesn't count for him does it? Tosser.
That works both ways Demonheart. You say injuries have stifled Bongstone and he's in his 8TH YEAR! If Hodge gets to his 8th season and we're blaming injuries for his lack of progress like you are, then I will happily admit he is an injury-prone hack like Bongy.

I think he'll be a good player - those kicking skills of his are awesome - but he's not likely to catch up to Judd.

Read the post I was responding to. Tosser boy (forget his name) said that Hodge was unable to play at his best because of injuries then went on to say that TJ was constantly injured because he is a bum and doesn't prepare properly. You should be directing your comment to him, he was the one with the contradiction and getting the thread off topic.
I thought TJ's games was pretty good on Saturday night, he only had 14 possesions but he cut the bombers up whenever he got the ball, on the other hand were you happy with your number one pick?

Your right, we should axe him after that. He wasn't great but he was far from the worst. Had better stats than Bongo. His pre-season has been nothing short of superb, his 1st pre-season EVER mind you. Give him the time that do-nothing Bongstone's had and he will be carving teams up.
If you were happy with Bongo's game on the weekend then good luck to you. #1 draft pick, 8 years into his career, 14 possessions 3 clangers, not even close to being in the best players and your happy? I'm wrapt for you, must be very easily pleased.

He had 2 more possesions playing a loose man in defense in a game when the ball spent the majority of the time in Hawthorn's defending 50 then anywhere else on the ground and you're happy with that. TJ on the other hand was hitting our forwards on their chests plus had a great goal, he also added another dimension to his game with his attack on the opposition and hard work when he didn't have the ball.

The reason why he wasn't even close to our best is that we have a good team with even contributors across the ground, your team is pure rabble and your fantastic number one recruit is still unable to play in the middle where he is drafted to play. Your best player and future captain is not good enough to play in the middle in his third year of senior footy with a build like that and considering the wealth of skill and ability you have (Bwahahaha) then that's pretty sad that your happy with that. In another thread a realistic hawks supporter is saying something completely different about your saviour, and at least us Melbourne people understand what TJ is, a gifted player who will never be a four quarter star but will play in bursts.

But you're right about one thing, it's easy for my team to please me right now, can you say the same thing?

skills aren't that great, he is the most accurate kick in the game
