anybody else see monfries go straight past the ball and deliberately contact Silvagni of freo to the head. at no stage did he look at picking up the ball. Quite blatantly tried to take him out and made high contact.

Will be looked at but i reckon no chance that is worth a week. Very low impact and just an awkward situation. Having said that, itd be a blessing if for some reason he was rubbed out. He has really got under our gaurd the last few times weve played them

Low impact, but the MRP have said that the head is a no go zone, Silvagni's head was down, and Monfries went straight at him. 50/50 I reckon. You just never know what they'll come up with. I was sure David Hille would have gotten weeks, yet he was cleared.
If the MRP were able to construe that Hille was going for a mark, I'm sure they can draw a long enough bow to suggest that Monfries was trying to take possession of the ball.

As much as I'd love him to be reported he'd be incredibly hard done by. Clumsy by him but just a free kick for head high contact.

Monfries ran front on at Silvagni, and making direct contact with his head. Wouldn't have thought Brennans contact was as bad as Monfries.

We haven't had a good mid sized defender for a while and we have generally struggled against those medium marking targets. Russell has stepped up to take that role and I am confident he can take Monfries to the cleaners.
