He doesn't seem big enough to play on a tall and he seems too gangly to play on a small, but gee his closing speed is impressive and he has me very very keen to see how he develops.

10kg would be essential for a permanent FB spot, but he's athletic and he's fair to good with the pill in his hand.

Wogga wogga wogga......

Yes, he will mature and when he does i beleive he will be very well known.

Had his mandatory full stretched impossible looking spoil again, a few normal spoils and added a couple of good marks to his game tonight.

He is coming off a knee reco so expect improvement next year.

This just goes to show - we got the Gaspar decision correct!

Was very good tonight, definatly beat his man in his best performance for the club. However he does have alot of facits to imporve on like his disposal, strength etc.

One of the best things about him is he plays smart and normally has good positioning so that he was never diving into Robbos back, he also bloke the corridor which meant Robbo had to lead to the boundary lines to get his marks and touches

Was awesome tonight, should have a stack of improvement in him as well, tonight was only his 12th game and if he can get just get through to the end of the season injury free, could be set for a massive 2008.

great game tonight. robbo kicked 7 last time he played. thursfield owned him tonight.

I think Robbo picking up an injury helped.

Thursfield looks too skinny... even with the long sleeves covering his arms. Would have thought he would have bulked up more whilst he was out with the injury

Good signs though :thumbsu:

he always looks too skinny and he always looks like he is going to be beaten. first game on micky o'loughlan - totally cut him out of the game. up against reiwoldt last year was owning him until he did his knee. cost us the game imo. this kid is the goods and when he gets stronger he will be even better. he has only played 12 games!

Robertson didn't get injured.

Thursfield is only 21 so over the next 2-3 years he can bulk up and also gain the experience needed in defence to help him to become a fantastic backman.

It's been frustrating.

We really have the makings of a good defence - Thursfield, Polak, Newman, Bowden, King, Hartigan if he pulls his finger out.

Thursfield could be anything if he stays injury free.

And McGuane.:thumbsu:

thursty has been a solid contributor since returning, and kept most opponents quiet because of his speed and agility. although he dont get too many possesions, he is very tight and apply a lot of pressure. he completely dominated robbo who had no easy kicks. hope the doubters take another look at his games.:)

Thursty's been great.

How good is his spoiling! And he usually does it most weeks which is good. Its just great to see him on the park playing footy. Hes so much better than Gaspar, I think. At least he can kick and handball. He doesnt need to get a heap of the footy (although it would be good if he did get it more).

100% ground time last night. Thats awesome. :D

love the kid. Saw him tear up reidwoldt early last year i think, and was very impressed. Did a great job on robbo last night. congrats on last night. you deserve it. we are a rabble.

Don't know what you guys think but maybe Will's spoiling tactics are starting to rub off on his teammates cause l saw quite a few times last night where we were second to the marking contest but managed to get a fist on the ball to spoil certain marks.....great signs!!

very much like Dustin fletcher.....doesn't need a lot of bulk ala Mal Michael to be a good defender, although a bit more muscle is still a necessity

I was devestated that night against the saints, thursty (thursty merc are on video hits atm coincidently) was applying the towel to reiwoldt's backside before doing his knee. Reiwoldt immediately impacted the game once thursfield-free, a game the Richmond otherwise would have won. That night put a major dent in our season IMO.

We can all salivate in anticipatory wonder however, at the dizzying heights to come in 2011 though so it's no matter.

Needs a few more pre seasons in the gym but he's doing well for a kid who's only played 12 games. Does anyone know if it was the first time he got to sing the song last night? I think it would've been for a few of the kids
