I think the loose man concentrated on Lucas a lot more (Polak was loose most of the time), Thursfield had a bit of help in the pack situations though.

On the lead Will didn't give an inch, that mark by Lloyd in the goalsquare at teh start was simply brilliant and nobody could have stopped it. Couple this with Lloyd's nothing goal after the siren and 2 of Lloyd's 3 goals were hardly Thursty's fault.

I loved a few of his defensive plays in the 2nd half in particular, Lloyd had a lot of it in the first 5 mins though.

It was good for a 20yo's second game back off a knee reco!

Considering he was playing his 9th game of footy against a former All-Australian I think he did very well, and the Dons were doing the same down in our forward line.

I agree with the last 2 posts. Thursfield did have a serviceable night at the very least. With time and patience I think he can develop into a very valuable commodity for the Tigers. Him and Polak as the tall timber down back looks very exciting for your boys. I really liked Polak's contested marks tonight. He's got strong hands and will only get better. Lucas was dominating Polak one on one, it was only when Polak played loose that he really started to assert himself and make an impact on the game

Lucas got a lot of good ball coming in on the back of poor turnovers from our side, he seemed to continually benefit from on of our players screwing up when running out of defence, which leaves our backs out of position and there forwards open for easy marks and goals. Going to keep on happening until we get our skills and decision making up to scratch.

Loyd had a ridiculous amount of weight on the kid but Thursfield despite the knee wasn't beaten for pace by him. He was always there just couldn't get around Loyd's mass when he was in front. He will be a player though I have little doubt about that.
