Just finding ways to lose......I thought he would win it also

It is interesting because for the most part he seems like a fairly easy going, life is good kind of guy...would not expect him to so consistently not be able to finish off the job.

Golf is hard and tournament golf is the hardest. Really does come down to the 6 inches between your ears

Dude doesn't understand how lucky he is---has no clue

Arizona authorities were reportedly considering felony charges and a requirement for Stalmach to register as a sex offender if a child under the age of 15 was identified in the crowd, but ultimately allowed him to plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure.

Just watching pebble beach.....I luv this course.
Driven past a couple of times but never had time to go check it out.
They say about $500 to play a round.?
Anyway I also heard that these amateurs pay about $30k to play in this.....nice to have money!

A lot of them are sponsored by their company. For example the Taylormade exec, etc...

Yes Pebble is a fair bit of coin but heck, if you are going to travel that far why not right?

;)

No flow to it. I thought it was choppy and they certainly weren't on top of the live play at the outset.

Got better but first 45 minutes or so were frustrating

Ok...I agree with you there....it was hard to get into a certain match....but it makes it difficult with so many others playing as well..
Maybe have a red button on play on fox to solely watch the match you want

Yes, little AC and I wanted to see how Crocker was doing when they went on air (before he had to go to bed)

But instead we got a recap of every single first round matchup

I get they want to bring everyone up to speed but:

1) you can do it faster/more efficiently

2) you are ignoring every single second round matchup going on at the moment

I like the format--and how about the Barnrat?? What a run

Yeah, worked his awesome physique off....lol
Had some luck....but he hung in there every time.....which is what match play is all about.

Then potter jnr wins pebble today....good on him....I snapped my ankle a couple of years ago....so I know what it’s like to try restart again after it...( he’s also bit better than me...;))
Btw...another with a physique which gives us all hope.

The issue I believe was that there weren't enough cameras covering the action. They had some more cameras at their disposal but the windy conditions rendered some of them unsafe and unable to be used.

Coverage of Aus tournaments is typically miles behind what you get in the US (used to be the reverse in the 80's ironically).

Guess that would explain it. I very much liked the feature of a golfer chatting on way to second shot.

Would seem to me tourneys over here should implement some of that --even the format.

Not the big ones but the ones with very few stars in the field.

Would make them more entertaining

Don’t know if I agree with that.....uspga all u mainly see are guys putting ....unless it’s tiger of course....
IMHO Aussie golf coverage is streets ahead of US stuff.....but the super 6 was probably it’s own worst enemy in relation to coverage v golf type...ie match play

Camera/hole coverage, variety of camera angles, audio quality, technology offerings (SwingVision, telestrator), statistics, quality of commentary (Paul Gow ffs!).

And don't get me started on the incessant "highlights recaps" on Aus telecasts whilst live action is happening.

It's not even close.

It’s great listening to idiots like johnny Miller (was there a better golfer ever than me?) & chamblee talking crap.
I agree there technology is better when they show it but following a golf shot without it isn’t as good as oz camera work.
Highlight recaps go over the top a bit, but there’s more golfers than just tiger & Phil who could play like shit & still hog 80% of coverage. If ur not a yank u barely gets look in.

Part of it is they want eyeballs on the screen, so the focus on PGA events will always be Americans. That said, I do think that Day, Rahm, McIlroy, Garcia get decent amounts of coverage.

Back in the day Norman got as much as anyone else. The trick is to be good player and have some personality--Seve certainly got air time.

If there are Americans that can draw eyeballs they will indeed get played up--no argument. Just like the Victorian footy clubs get lots and lots of love. ;)
