Worsfold questions Eagles' intensity

WEST Coast Eagles coach John Worsfold says Saturday’s derby was turned around when his side was “smashed around” by Fremantle in a stunning third-quarter revival.

The Eagles had dominated the first half of the clash everywhere but on the scoreboard where poor kicking saw them lead by just 23 points at the long break, despite having 13 more scoring shots than their opponents.

Woosh mate.

Staker and Hansen must go.

I dont know will come in but they have to go.

I expect Hansen to stay given The Fridge is injured but Staker, he must be let free in the WAFL.

Spangher, any danger of a game? Swing Brown forward?

Please Woosh, we are losing faith.

And quickly.

Anyone notice how poor Lecras was with having a bigger body on him today?
When Tarrant when on him, he gave away a couple of frees and then that was him for the whole game.

I'm getting pretty sick of Brett Jones as well tbh. Usually gives away a few free kicks and is not suited to the modern game because he go's 100% at the ball or the player with the ball, and 90% of the time that ends with a) the player easily runs around him
b) someone gets to the ball before him and he jumps on their
back and gives away a free kick
c) he gets to the ball first, jumps on it, gets jumped on and
gets pinged for holding the ball.

Needs to be educated on how to play the modern game better.

The delivery to LeCras was just stupid - why put it on his head when he's playing on a much bigger player?

Woosha should be questioning the selection policy before anything else.

Intensity requires discipline, commitment and pride for the jumper you wear. Many of our players don't show any of those traits including undoubtedly the two most useless players in AFL who unfortunately are playing for our club.

Worsfold said Daniel Kerr was not injured but had suffered from vomiting and cramp during the second half. He also questioned the form of senior players Ashley Hansen and Brett Jones and suggested they were under pressure from in-form youngsters in the WAFL.

Mmm, liking that last part.

5 Tackles was pretty good. Copla goals in an insipid losing side was pretty good, esp with a bigger bloke monstering him. Great, if not bizzare strategy from Mark Halfy????
If the delivery was more sensible, he might have eaten Taz up. If the WC could have kicked straight and if we had gone into half time 30 points up. Taz may have been moved, releasing the Frenchman and making him more dangerous IMO.
Hard to bag too much our leading goal kicker.....

Look at our shots on goal, 31% accuracy.

Fair Dinkum out 79% inaccurate shots on goal cost us BIG time, we should've won by 7/8 goals!

Not surprising when you look who's up front.
Hansen, Hunter, Lynch, Cox, have always been poor shots for goal. Most of the midfield can't even spot up a target 20 m away or kick over 50m.

RE: Intensity? That only goes so far... You can't play 10 talls and expect them to run out the game. I can see Woosha is struggling and i wonder how long he can keep blaming players. I suppose he's smart because he keeps a couple scapegoats in the team to deflect attention.

****ing Josh Head! The best thing he's done for Freo supporters this season is smacking Kennedy in the eye:mad:

edit: I think this swear filter is getting smarter. farrrk !

for a guy that we all had such high hopes for, i'd be disappointed if mitch brown is destined to become a full back. if kennedy is not fit to play yet, then put mitch brown at chf and see if he has anything to offer.

We definitely need a presence up forward and Brown would give us that. It's definitely time for further changes. So sick and tired of losing these kind of games against Freo. It's about time our players pull their fingers out and win a derby. Freo are shit....what does that make us?

Materamagic questions Eagles' goalkicking training.

Bushwick Bill's grandmothers pallbearer could have dobbed in that one Hunter missed on quarter time.

I didn't catch the game after the 2nd quarter but don't doubt I would have seen worse.

Fair dinkum.

The Eagles don't take these games seriously?

What a surprise.

Must be worth less than 4 points the way your club goes about them.

Chops, you need to check which board your posting on before hitting submit.

We have now lost 3 games we could have won due either skill errors or a loss of focus. The challenge for Woosh is to eliminate such lapses

The delivery to all the forwards was shit.Dodd had a field day on Hansen, watching balls go over hansens head and into his arms or hitting at the forwards feet.Very few passes hit the forwards on the chest.
I also feel the past 2 weeks may have caught up with the Eagles,no excuse I know but up until the last half today and the saints game they have been very good.
